"Good morning, Daddy" Nouvie greeted me quietly

At first, I was confused, but then I remembered Sunny was sleeping peacefully next to her. Back then, I used to watch her sleep. She always looks like an angel, so beautiful. Hanggang ngayon maganda pa rin naman siya. She aged beautifully.

"Should we wake her up?" she smiled

"No. Let her sleep. I think mommy is tired" I answered "C'mon, help daddy make breakfast, yeah?"

"Okay" she said full of energy as always.

Binuhat ko siya at bumaba sa kusina para maghanda ng agahan. Gaya ng ginagawa namin araw-araw, nagpapatugtog sya ng baby shark habang tinutulungan niya ako sa paghahalo ng mga sangkap ng mga lulutuin namin.

Simula noong bumalik si Sunny sa buhay ko mas lalong naging maganda ang mga araw na nagdaan. Hindi kulang si Nouvie para maging masaya ako, pero iba pa rin ang saya na dulot ni Sunny.

Pansin ko rin na mas masaya at mas masigla si Nouvie simula nang makilala niya si Sunny. Who would've thought that they will meet and become mother and daughter. Alam kong mula noon sabik si Nouvie na magkaroon ng sarili niyang ina. It's not that Denisse couldn't fulfill the mother figure, but I guess my daughter wanted something more. Pakiramdam siguro niya ay nakikihati lang siya sa pinsan niyang si Ronie kaya naghahanap siya ng matatawag niyang sarili niyang ina.

I couldn't give her what she wanted for so long. I couldn't give her a mother especially when I know that Sunny is alive and I'm still hoping that one day we will be together again. My heart will always belong to her. My heart and soul will always forever hers. No one could ever replace her. No one.

Now that she's back, I want to take things slowly. I want us to start over again. I don't want to shock her and lose her again. Handa akong maghintay para sa kanya. I'm willing to walk through everything with her. I'm willing to guide her remember the memories that she has lost. Even if there's a big possibility that she's going to get mad at me.

"Daddy, I know that you love my mommy." My daughter said out of the blue

I raised a brow at her "And how did you know?"

"I just know and I could feel it." She shrugged her small shoulders "I also see the way you look at her and smile at her."

"Honey, I don't know what you're talking about" I said, denying her observations.

She smiled sweetly at me "Don't worry, daddy. If you don't want to tell her, it's going to be our little secret for now." She giggled

I shook my head while smiling "You silly, little girl."

Habang inihahanda namin ang mga pagkain sa lamesa ay narinig namin ang yabag ni Sunny pababa sa hagdan. Ngumiti sa akin si Nouvie at hinila ako para batiin si Sunny.

She looked like she was in a hurry. The shock on her face was visible when she saw us.

"Good morning, mommy!" Nouvie ran towards her and hugged her legs

"Good morning, Sunny." I gave her a small smile "Breakfast is ready."

Mabilis siyang nag-iwas ng tingin at hindi ako sinagot. She looked down at my daughter and greeted her back.
