Shoot!

Hope has a list of five canvas paintings and she still has one left undone. She's been working on it for the passed 4 weeks and she seldom gets enough time to do other stuff. Taking this course can be arduous but it was rewarding nonetheless.

This is for her future.

For the future that she can be.

She started doing her morning routine, just washed her face and brushed her teeth, fixed her hair in the mirror and she's done. She grabbed her tumbler and phone and headed down for breakfast.

Again, there were just her, Nana and Lea in the house.

"Ang aga po ata ni daddy umalis Nana." she commented while watching Nana prepare their food. She's sitting on her usual spot.

"Ah, bibisita sila sa orphanage. 'Di ba malapit na yung annual party para sa mga bata?" Nana answered and asked afterwards. Lea was quietly listening to them, she couldn't grasp anything they're saying. Not that she's intrigued, she just felt like she couldn't sit with them this time. She felt out of place.

"Oo nga no, ano palang gagawin nyo? May bago bang mag-p-perform?" Nana added, looking so excited.

Hope was taken aback by what Nana said, she almost forgot the annual party at the orphanage. She was too busy making excuses to avoid Lea. Well, she has a lot on her plate indeed. Now she feels sorry, that will be held in three weeks now. It's going to be a one hell of a hectic schedule for her. Her last school year hasn't been started yet but she feels overstretched already.

"Ah, may nabanggit na po ba si daddy na plano?" she asked when she snapped back, Nana shook her head as an answer.

Lea was watching them the whole time, Hope and Nana seemed to forget her presence so she remained silent. They must be talking about an important matter based on their expressions. She doesn't want to butt in and ask either, that would be rude. Nosy gossiping is definitely not on her to-do-list.

"Kumain ka na lang muna, may two- ay three weeks ka pa. Tanungin mo na lang din ang daddy mo, busy rin 'yon baka nakalimutan lang na sabihin sayo." Nana suggested instead in final.

Hope just sighed and nodded. Nana became quiet and looked at Lea when she realized they've been talking without even including her in their conversation.

"Ay Ma'am, pasensya na po. We are talking about-" Nana started when Hope butted in.

"I don't think she needs to know Nana." she said and continue slicing her egg and avocado. Nana gave her a serious look then turned back to Lea.

"Sorry about that Ma'am." she apologized- for Hope.

"It's okay. It's not my business either. She's basically just right." Lea said while holding Nana's arm and giving her a smile- a small one. Hope couldn't stop herself from glancing at Lea from what she has just said.
