Most of the days, Lea confines herself in her room, teeming in her own thoughts. Series of plans have been playing in her head, she calls her son several times a day and explained to him what was happening in a way he will understand enough not to suspect and worry that they might be in danger. He once asked her to tell him the truth, unconvinced of her excuse. Later on she confided that they should be extra more careful this time that they are no longer certain someone is eyeing them from a far. The two bodyguards are now staying in her son's unit, she let them use the guest room for close monitoring of her son.
"I heard a civil guard talking to another once I was in the hallway. They mentioned that country, and I can't surely conclude that they meant about you being there. I ought to send more bodyguards to stay with you but it became difficult for us now that we are closely guarded by Camilla's minions... I am sorry honey, we are running out of time, we are safe as of now, do not worry. Think about your safety. As soon as we get a chance, we'll send more troops there."
She's repeatedly playing the voice message sent by her grandfather that night. It's been ringing in her head nonstop.
'Grandpa, as much as possible do not do something that they can twist against you. No need to send more troops here, save them for later. We are doing good and we'll be safe. Please be safe and alive. For us.'
Those were the exact words she would have said there had been a good signal to contact him again. The news her grandfather has spilled her is alarming. Queen Victoria, her mother together with him is now hiding from the possible common foes inside the palace. And it only means one thing, it is certainly a forewarn to her. Apart from this, knowing that her son is away troubles her mind. She's getting worried and anxious each passing day. She tends to catastrophize events about her son. It must have been their past experience that couldn't get through from her mind makes her think this way.
Gabriel started interrogating her for she calls almost every single time. She always asks his whereabouts and who's with him even though she knows he's either at school or house with friends or his bodyguards. She cussed herself one time when she called and he was in the middle of his class. She's being too paranoid. Anything could happen at the most unexpected time, in a span of minute and that's she's avoiding. No one would be blamed but her if something terrible happened to her son. And she will never forgive herself if so.
'Princess Lea (on the left) with her son (on the right) was playing outside the chateau. They were having a moment together as they seldom see each other. Now, the Chambord people were puzzled as to which could be the father? Or is there even one?'
She remembered that magazine he showed her before. The journalist of that page was anonymous. Could it be someone from Chambord? Or Luxembourg even? One thing she's not sure of is, if the magazine was published in France then how come it has a copy in the Philippines? She even saw an inhuman news about their city in this country. What if there is really someone from the distance looking after them secretly? The thought made her heart hammer in her chest. She rummaged her phone and dialled a number.
"Votre Altesse Royale! (Your Royal Highness)" said the bodyguard from the other line. It's already late in the evening and Lea wanted to assure everything in there is well.
"Où est mon fils? Que fait-il? Comment va-t-il? (Where is my son? What is he doing? How is he?)" she asked consecutively.
"Il est juste au coin de la salle à manger à quelques mètres de nous. Il fait probablement des travaux scolaires Votre Altesse. Vous voulez lui parler ? (He's right at the corner of the dinning area few feet away from us. He's probably doing school works Your Highness. Would you like to have a talk with him?)" the bodyguard politely asked. He was having his midnight tea at the kitchen counter, where in the other one was on standby at the main door.
