SHE STARED AT THE TREES AS SHE WALKED THROUGH THE WOODS WITH HER CLASSMATES. . .
"Which leads me to the purpose of this outing—" Mrs. Stacy spoke but was cut off by someone screaming.
Magnolia turned her head to the noise, her eyes landing on Moody, who was on the ground clutching his leg and shrieking.
( TRIGGER WARNING: blood, gore, etc. . . )
The side of his calf was slit open and blood pooled out. The redhead felt bile rise up in the back of her throat at the sight—she absolutely hated blood, but Moody needed help.
She glanced next to her and at Gilbert, he looked back at her with a worried look in his eyes. She bit her lip, looked away from Gilbert, then rushed over to Moody.
Her heart hammered against her ribs as she and Gilbert kneeled down beside him. She pulled his sock down to expose the wound.
Ruby screamed loudly when she saw the blood, and secretly, Magnolia wanted to scream too.
Another scream came from behind the redhead, then the whole class started to freak out. "Indians!" They shouted.
"We're surrounded by savages!" (AN. . . they're so ignorant in this episode asdfghjkl)
"They're not savages!" Magnolia yelled, she was tired of her class being idiotic racists.
She felt a thud behind her, so she looked and saw Ruby passed out on the ground. She rolled her eyes and turned back to Moody. "It's okay, just breathe."
"How deep is it?" Mrs. Stacy asked, despite the chaos going on around them.
She surveyed the wound. "It's deep." Magnolia replied.
"There's nothing we can do here. He needs stitches." Gilbert added.
"The Mi'kmaq village. It's nearby, they can bring help." Anne piped in and the redhead nodded at her friend. "I'll be right back."
Gilbert pulled out a handkerchief from his pocket and handed it to Magnolia, she took it, her hand briefly brushing Gilbert's as she did.
Shiverers went down her spine as she pressed the cloth to Moody's cut, but she ignored it and focused on Moody—his blood-soaked the cloth almost immediately.
"A little more pressure." Gilbert pointed out and put his hand on top of hers.
Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink at his warm hand, even though she didn't like Gilbert, she had to admit it; it felt nice.
She remembered Ruby had blacked out, so she quickly moved her hand away and stood up. "I'll go help Ruby." She said.
