There Chris sat, in a trench. Bullets were going left and right and he thought to himself, "why did I think it was a good idea join the military? This was such a dumb idea, I'm not cut out for this." Something landed to Chris's left, a teammate shouted, "GRENADE!" Chris panicked and stopped thinking, his body dove for a cut out in the trench as he heard the grenade go off. "What the hell," Chris thought as he looked himself over and only found a small scratch from the rocky ground.
"Don't worry, I'm here to care for you," said a voice inside Chris's head. "Who are you?" asked Chris as he got up and started walking towards the outside. Chris's body was pushed back into the cut out and the voice said, "Kid, I'm Carboss, I live here now, I wouldn't suggest going out there. Give me control 'cause I can handle the horrors we're about to see out there, you can't."
Chris said, "what do you mean give control? How hard did that grenade explode?" Carboss responded, "don't worry about it, just relax and I'll get us out of here." Chris inhaled and calmed himself, the center of his eye pupils changed from black to blue, and Carboss had fully taken over. Carboss carefully grabbed the nearest pistol, putting it in the side holster, he got up and picked up the nearest rifle, slung it over his shoulder, and started to walk out the cut out. Chris had a policy of "don't kill unless needed." Carboss had the policy of "kill before they can kill you." Carboss carefully walked over all the dead and dismembered bodies that lay on the ground of the trench, carefully making his way away from the army that wanted his side dead.
Carboss got close to the trenches' exit, it was a field of tall corn from him to the beach the military had landed on. Chris said inside their head, "be reasonable, we'll never make it." Carboss said, "shut up kid, I don't want to be rude but you're judging my ability, those fuckin' dipshits have to have a good enough aim to hit us at a full sprint through a field of tall corn." Carboss got up and started running through the field, keeping low so that the enemy hopefully wouldn't see him. A bullet wised by his head, Carboss stood up and made a break for the beach. He got out the field and saw Chris's friend Quinn prepping the boats to leave, she always wanted to be a captain, little did they know they would be on the same mission.
Two stroke motors started to roar in the distance, the enemy was mobilizing towards the beach. Carboss yelled as loud as he could towards Quinn, "GET THE DAMN BOATS MOVING NOW!" A bike busted out of the corn to Carboss's left, he close-lined the biker and took the bike, riding as fast as he could over to Quinn who was frantically working to get at least one boat moving. Carboss stopped her and said, "why are you trying to get a transport running, its slow and unarmored." Quinn responded, "what about the rest of the army, and do I know you?" Carboss grabbed her hand and led her over to a small, two-man boat. "Look we can worry about who I am in a little bit," Carboss said as he pushed the boat out to deeper water, "We gotta go now if we wanna live though, all the other military is dead, we're the last two and if we wait around we'll die too."
Quinn looked back towards the field and saw all the corn starting to fall as the sound of two-stroke dirt-bikes and modified trucks got closer. "Alright," Quinn began, "I'll trust you." She got in the boat and Carboss yanked the throttle to full and took off, the enemy was stuck on the beach and watched as the small boat sped off towards an aircraft carrier. "Carboss got out of the driver's seat and said, "Quinn, take the controls and give me your seat, I can explain everything better there." Quinn got into the driver's seat and said, "wait how do you know my name?" Carboss sat down and relaxed, the center of his pupils changed from blue back to a normal black, his body almost fell off the seat as Chris took over. Chris caught his balance and looked around, locking confused eyes with Quinn, he said, "Quinn, it's me, NeedlessCarboss, your old discord friend. What the crap are you doing out here in the middle of a war? this is certainly no place for you." Quinn responded, "well this isn't really a place for you either, I'm doing my dream job, just didn't intend for everyone to die and be running away." Chris said back, "yeah, about that, the person you were talking with a little bit ago was Carboss, not me. I can't explain much cause I don't know much but he seems to be another person inside my head. It's hard to explain but it's not important right now, we need to focus on living." Quinn pulled up to the aircraft carrier as the crew dropped a rope ladder and said, "well, today we're living at least, you can tell me more when we got on the boat." Quinn got up and hugged Chris, then she grabbed the rope ladder and jokingly said, "ladies first." Chris climbed the ladder followed by Quinn.
