Chapter 6: A Fight of Friends

The group dropped off Quinn at her home. She hugged them all and told them to be safe and Chris let her have the R-35 since it was specially designed to her. The rest of the group went over to a nearby restaurant to get lunch and as they were eating Sly asked, "so what's the next plan? what do we do now?" Chris said, "wait until something happens and then deal with it."

The news on the TV changed and said, "breaking news, several different dark and shadowy figures have been seen in Arizona destroying anything in sight. Be on the lookout and report any of these figures if you see them." It was followed by a pixelated picture from a security camera of all the figures, Chris could see the one at the front was his demonic form. Standing behind him appear to be some kind of bear, the figure stood on it's rear legs and was covered in black fur, it had glowing red eyes and red smoke curling out of it's mouth. Chris concluded this was probably Sly's demonic form, which was followed by a dark figure only identifiable by the cloak it wore covering it's who self. Chris assumed this to be Oreo's demonic form, which was followed by a humanoid figure wearing a flat brim snap back backwards, sunglasses, a bandanna over it's mouth, all black clothes, and was holding what appeared to be a switchblade. Chris thought this to be Daphr's demonic form, which was followed by a female in all black clothes with glowing red hair. Chris predicted this was Dreams demonic form.

The news said, "we will give updates as they come in," and continued to the rest of the news. Chris remembered he met some people who lived in Arizona, though they shared a body and were mute they could still message on discord. He sent her a message asking what was going on and as the group got ready to leave the news chimed in again and said, "there's an update on the figures, there seems to be two more traveling in the group," followed by two more pictures of shadowy figures, one with a metal tail and a crop-top with short white hair, the second in an oversized hoodie with a lizard tail and head. Chris remembered those descriptions as the descriptions of his friends in Arizona. Though they shared a body, both had made an OC to represent themselves, Zeta had a metal tail, often wore clothes that showed more and had short white hair. On the flip side of that, Sophie had a tendency to wear oversized hoodies and comfy clothes, and represented herself as a reptilian humanoid with a lizard like tail and face.

The group packed up and started driving straight for Arizona knowing that was the next place to help with. when they got there they stopped at a gas station and filled the tanks of every vehicle, even the motorcycles that weren't driving, should they ever need them. Chris checked discord and saw a message from Sophie saying they were planning on packing up and leaving to get out of harms way. Chris told them to be safe and that they were on their way to hopefully stop this.

The group got in their cars and rolled out of the gas station, Sly lead followed by Oreo, Dream, Daphr, and Chris followed at the end. They came across a destroyed town and slowly drove through it at idle looking at all the destroyed and burnt buildings however no dead bodies could be seen from the road. It looked as if the town was a ghost town that got bombed and burned. They got to the other edge of town and started to drive away. Chris waited for everyone to go when he got the feeling like he was being watched and swore he saw a shadow dash behind his R-34.

Chris got on the radio and said, "guys, I think something is still in this town." Just as he said that Dream's demonic form Jumped out of the building to the left of the car and tried grabbing at the door. Chris dumped the clutch and tried to run, little did he know that Dream wasn't the only demonic form there, in fact, all the demonic forms from the news were there. They all jumped out of the buildings and started chasing Chris. Chris's and Zeta's demonic forms had wings and flew after the car while the rest formed blacked out sports bikes from shadows and chased.

Chris told the group to go up the road and set up an ambush and he would lead the demonic forms to them. They all agree and drove up the road. After they had gone Chris attempted a brake check on the motorcycles, which unfortunately went around and got next to him Sophie's demonic form pulled out a metal staff and jammed it in the rear right wheel, damaging the wheel and sending the car into a spin. Carboss took over and said, "kid hold on and let me get us out of this." He ripped the parking brake and looked all four wheels so the car kept sliding, and then the left wheels caught a crack in the road and the car started to flip, raising the right side to the demonic forms. Carboss waited for the car to reach almost ninety degrees to the road before punching the door clean off and jumping out, sprouting his wings and flying as Dream's demonic form hit the gas tank and caused the car to explode, taking out Dream's, Daphr's, and Oreo's demonic forms in the explosion.

The rest of the group was prepared down the road when a light orange SUV slowly rolled up and a girl got out. She walked over and started to use sign language in an attempt to communicate, but sadly it didn't work. She took out a paper and pen and wrote on it and then showed the group, "what the hell is going on here?" Sly said, "honestly I'm not sure, but I know that we might be in trouble if this plan doesn't work." They person wrote more and showed the group saying, "I'm Sophie, I was just on my way out of the state for now so I'll be safe." Sly said, "go wait in your car, if you want you can sit behind our road block, but it's not safe to keep going in case you get hit by crossfire." Sophie went back to her car and moved it behind the road block and waited.

Carboss was right on top of them at that point and shouted, "heads up I still got four on me." Sophie's demonic form jumped off the bike and let it run towards the group but Sly stepped in front of the bike and stopped it with his bare hands. Then Sly's demonic from jumped off his bike and jumped towards Sly, causing Sly to put up his hands in a blocking form. Sly fell down at the force of the blow and kicked his demonic form up into the air where Carboss hit it at full force and sent it flying into the pavement causing it to dissolve to nothing. Carboss kept flying as he was still being chased.

Sophie's demonic jumped at the group and Daphr, Oreo, and Dream jumped out to block it. Sly got to his feet and grabbed the sledge hammer out of the back of his car and told everyone to move out of the way. As soon as they moved Sly swung and sent Sophie's demonic form flying towards Carboss, who hit the demonic form back into the pavement causing it to dissolve into dust. Carboss flew towards Sly and said, "throw me the hammer." Sly tossed the sledge hammer in the air as Carboss flew over and grabbed it. Chris's demonic form charged and Carboss swung the hammer, sending Chris's demonic form flying out of view. Zeta's demonic form Caught Carboss in her metal tail and flung him to the ground hard enough to crack the pavement of the road. Then it charged towards the ground where Carboss lied but Sly jumped in the way blocking the blow but also falling onto the ground. Carboss and Sly got to their feet as Zeta's demonic form fell to the ground in between them and the rest of the group with nowhere to run.

Zeta's demonic form looked around at everyone, then let out a blood curdling screech and flew away at incredibly fast speed. The demonic forms of Zeta and Chris were still on the loose but they had run and the rest had been defeated. Carboss gave control back to Chris and everyone grouped up next to Sophie's car. Sophie pulled out the paper and pen again and wrote, "so what's the plan now?" Chris said, "we find somewhere to say for the night, and we wait to see what the news says tomorrow about this whole situation."

Sophie wrote, "you guys can stay at my apartment for the night, there isn't much space so you will all have to share  the living room." They all agreed and followed Sophie back to the apartment and stayed the night. They didn't have a plan, but they knew this wouldn't be the last attack from the demonic forms, they just had to find where the next one would be.
