Carboss the kickass

Chapter 13: Fight to the Death

The figures closed in on the group, using the forest that surrounded them for cover. Rosy said, "I'll go first, I can get close without being attacked." The rest of the figures waited as Rosy shape-shifted into a completely black bunny with red eyes. He walked out of the forest and up to Laney and Ice.

Chris and Carboss saw the bunny walk up. Carboss said, "you see it too?" Chris said, "yup." Carboss responded, "attack first or wait?" Laney and Ice reached for the bunny and Chris yelled, "DON'T TOUCH IT!" Laney said, "but it's a bunny." Ice responded, "yeah it's completely harmless."

Chris said, "just get back from it, we don't know exactly what it is yet." Chris and Carboss walked to the back of the S10 to grab weapons, Chris grabbed a staff and Carboss grabbed a katana. There was the sound of flames and then Sly yelling. Sly hit the roof of the S10, flattening it. Sly said, "that hurt," and proceeded to get off the S10 pancake and walk away.

Rosy charged Chris and Carboss as all the other figures ran out of the forest and surrounded the group. Chris and Carboss fought with Rosy, blocking all his swing and swinging back with every attack. Eventually they knocked Rosy back with the rest of the figures, he wound up next to all the figures that looked like Chris.

Carboss looked at Chris and said, "alright game plan, I combine with the figures that look like you, knock out Rosy, you run through the opening with both our weapons, and I'll meet you when I get free." Chris said, "what do I do once I'm out?" Carboss looked to the trees and Chris followed his gaze until he locked into a dark figure. Carboss said, "that thing seems to be in control of all of the figures, kill it and hopefully the figures go with it."

Chris took the katana and Carboss combined with the figures, holding Rosy and yelling at Chris to move it. Chris did as he was told and ran into the forest looking for the figure he had seen. Carboss came running in and said, "everyone is holding the rest of the figures off, where's the big boss?" Chris said, "I don't know, I haven't seen it."

The dark figure jumped out, knocking over Carboss in the process. It walked over and reached down towards Carboss saying, "you fool, all I have to do is rewire those figures you combined with to take over your mind. You're as good as mine you fucking idiot."

Chris charged and swung with his staff but the figure caught it. It stood up and ripped the staff from Chris's hand, then swung it's arm and sent Chris flying into a tree. The figure kneeled down to Carboss and reached out towards his forehead. Chris grabbed the katana and stood up, he took a deep shaky breath, and charged the figure without a sound. He stabbed straight through the figures chest, then removed the sword and swung a few times at the figures back.

The figure was motionless for a moment, then it fell forward and landed on Carboss, who quickly moved it off and stood up. Carboss said, "I don't feel the voices in me anymore." Carboss and Chris walked out of the forest to see the group covered in bruises and scratches, but all the voices had gone. They all rushed over and hugged the two.

Carboss said, "he kid, I helped you fight through this, but now it's time I combine back with you and you become whole again, and I will go silent." Chris said, "wait you sure about that?" Carboss nodded, "it's what needs to happen."

They hugged and combined, and as Carboss had said he went silent. Everyone returned to their homes, Chris went back to running his castle and everything went back to the way it was and the group would occasionally get together via discord and talk to each other.
