Carboss the kickass

Chapter 10: Good or Bad

The light was bright, everyone had to look away but when they looked back they saw that the figure that had been pinned under Sly was gone and Carboss was covered in scars. Carboss slowly walked back, twitching every now and again as he told everyone else to stand back. He said, "the kid had a theory that if we could combine with each other then we could combine with our demon forms too. I guess he was right but now I have to help him and Needless escape." Sly said, "so what do you need us to do to help out?" Carboss responded, "stay here or out of harms way, I think we can handle it, just make sure none of you get hurt."

There was a loud screech and Needless fell out of the storm, landing on Carboss and knocking them both to the ground. Two figures followed Needless out of the storm, they also looked like Chris, but their skin was gray. One figure was covered in bullet holes and the other was covered in bruises, scars, and cuts. The two figures had landed dividing Carboss and Needless from the group, they didn't acknowledge the group and just started walking towards the Carboss and Needless.

Everyone watched wondering which figure they should try to help first when Chris dropped out of the storm, landing on and flattening the Supra that belonged to Daphr. He slowly got up and tried to walk, only to fall down again. Sly ran over and helped Chris up, but then three more figures landed on the Supra, flattening it even more. They all looked oddly similar to Chris, Carboss, and Needless, but they were all different.

One figure had empty black voids for a mouth and eyes, another had balls of fire where it's eyes and mouth should be, and the third had a scar over its left eye which was closed, it had bright red leathery wings and devils horns. they climbed off the Supra and walked over to Chris and Sly and the one with wings told Sly calmly, "let him fall and let us take him, we will take care of him from here." Sly backed away slowly. For every step the figures took towards him, Sly moved back another step.

Meanwhile the other two figures charged Carboss and Needless who easily dodged the charge. They simultaneously combined with the figures. Carboss was then covered in bruises, scars, and cuts while Needless was covered in bullet holes. They started to look themselves over trying to figure out what was happening when they heard yelling and looked up to see Sly and Chris flying at them. They quickly moved to catch the two, putting Sly back on his feet and laying Chris on his back on the ground.

Needless said, "Chris is injured to much, he can't fight." The three figures jumped over the group and kept walking towards Chris, Carboss, Needless, and Sly. They said, "give us the boy, we won't repeat ourselves again." Carboss, Needless, and Sly stood shoulder to shoulder between Chris and the voices. Carboss said, "we aren't moving out of the way, so if you want him you have to go through us." Carboss held up his hand and formed a fist, only to find a knife form in the fist, seemingly out of thing air. Needless said, "let me try," and held out a fist to find a gun form, though it was a typical small nine millimeter it was still enough to fight. Carboss told Sly to get Chris away and Needless and him would fight.

Sly said, "alright, just be safe." Carboss said, "no promises, but we'll try." The figure with the wings charged and started swinging at Carboss, but Carboss was fast enough to dodge, and stabbing every chance he could. Eventually the figure fell to the ground, covered in wounds. Carboss said, "hey Needless, combine with this one and we'll get the next two together." Needless combined with the fallen figure and then they together took on the remaining two.

The first one to attack was the one that had dark voids for eyes and a mouth, but Carboss dodged the first swing, putting his hand on the forehead of the figure and combining with it before it even had a chance to fit. Needless did the same with the next figure. Sly brought Chris back to them and Carboss said, "alright kid, we don't have to combine again but this was your plan, there's only one way to know if it'll work." Chris said, "let's do it, we already made it this far." They combined and Chris stood up, looking himself over to find he looked normal.

Chris turned to the rest and said, "alright, Daphr will ride his pit bike I guess, and I'll have to ride with Dream." The group didn't know what to say, most were left speechless and Chris said, "come on, we need to get moving while we still have the blizzard, we don't know how many more figures could be out here." The group packed up and got moving, though everyone wasn't quite sure what they just witnessed they decided it wasn't worth questioning.
