Carboss the kickass

Chapter 9: Welcome to Canada

The three of them caught up to the group. Sly asked, "so where do we go from here?" Chris responded, "follow me," and took the lead of the group. It wasn't easy to see throw the storm but eventually the group made it to a small house in the country. The only indication people lived there was a small Mini Cooper parked in the driveway.

Chris walked up and knocked on the door, it slowly opened and a man stood there looking up at him. The man had a gotee and messy black hair. From the other room a woman's voice said, "who is it honey?" The man spoke, "I think, our adopted discord son." There was a brief moment of silence before the woman came to the doorway in a wheelchair and looked at Chris, then said, "how did you get here?"

Chris responded by saying, "it's a long story, we don't have much time, so we need you guys to come with us to hopefully live." The couple looked at each other and then back to Chris, "ok, so it'll be explained on the way?" Asked the man. "Yes," responded Chris, "but we need to move now."

The group rolled out, on the way through the storm Chris introduced the man and woman as his adopted discord parents Bug and Laney. Then he continued to tell them everything that had happened leading up to that point. Laney responded with, "well at least we're safe for a while." Bug responded with, "I'll take them all on, let me at them."

Laney held onto Bug and said, "no, you're staying with the rest of us, no going off on your own." Bug hugged Laney and said, "alright my love, I'll stay with the group." Chris then said, "I hate to break up the wholesome times but there's a clearing in the storm up ahead and anything can be through there."

Chris, Carboss, and Needless went through the opening. The rest of the group watched as a flash of gray went by and plucked the three of them off their bikes, destroying the bikes in the process. Anu said, "what in the fuck was that?"

Chris yelled from somewhere in the storm, "nobody try to save us, stay safe and in the storm, they can't track you in the storm." Just then a flash of gray came down and hit the ground with a loud crash next to the group forming a large pile of dirt. Carboss stood up, his fists appeared to be covered in some red liquid.

He turned and told the group to get down. There was a screech and something else came out of the pile, tackling Carboss and pinning him to the ground. The figure that had pinned him looked like Chris, but he was darker, covered in scars from his head to his toes and a wicked smile on his face. The figure held it's hands above it's head, forming a knife pointed right at Carboss.

Sly tackled the figure, releasing Carboss in the process. Carboss said, "didn't I tell you to get down?" Sky held the figure down and said, "and what? Watch you get stabbed by whatever this thing is, I think not." Carboss walked over and said, "fine, hold it still, the kid suggested a way to catch these things and I'm not sure if it'll work." Carboss reached down and touched the forehead of the figure. There was a flash of light and then the voice of Needless said, "looks like it's going to end on a cliff hanger," from inside the storm.
