Chapter 9

Sunday Morning...

Ryujin woke up, surprised that the pain from the fight yesterday has gone. She looked at the person beside her, still asleep.

I promise I'll protect you, Lia, till the day I die

The latter stood up and went to the bathroom to brush her teeth and comb her hair. She didn't put any shirt on leaving her in a black sports bra and black sweatpants. Ryujin left the room to cook breakfast for the girls.

"GOODMORNING BITCH!" yelled Yuna as she came down from the stairs.

"Too early to shout Yuna," Ryujin said and flipped the last pancake.

"PANCAKES?!" the blonde girl ran to her side.

"Yes, pancakes. Now go sit down and I'll serve you some."

"Gimme some too," says Yeji followed by Chaeryeong and Lia.

"Good morning Ryujin thank you for cooking our breakfast." Chaeryeong grabbed a plate and took a seat beside her girlfriend.

"Hi, there sleepyhead," Ryujin patted Lia's head who was struggling to keep her eyes open. 

"Hello." 

"Here, eat it this. I know you love pancakes." She handed Lia a plate of pancakes with whip cream and strawberries.

"We should go outside today," Yeji suggested as she took a bite of her pancakes. 

"Let's go to the mall, I haven't been there since forever." says her girlfriend.

"Mhm, I'm down. I need to buy new clothes." 

"Finish your breakfast and get ready. I'll call the guards to tell them where we are going." Ryujin said and made her way to the intercom.

"Woww, Ryujin must've been working out a lot," Chaeryeong says, her eyes fixed on Ryujin's abs.

Lia and Yeji both threw her a piece of strawberries, she looked at them confused.

"You only get to look at mine." says the oldest girl in the room. 

"Pshh, like you have any," Chaereyong rolled her eyes.

Yeji stood up and flashed her abs to her girlfriend making her choke on her drink while the other two laughed. 

"Woah, what's going on here?" Ryujin came back and made her way to Lia's side. 

"Chae was staring at your abs and little Yeji got jealous," Lia answered.

"Ohhhhh."

"Wear a shirt next time."

"Why?" the latter asked.

"Nobody wants to see you half-naked," Lia said a little too harshly.

"More like you don't want anyone else to see her half-naked except you," Yuna whispered quietly.

"Uh okay, I'm gonna go and get ready." Ryujin left the kitchen and headed to her bedroom. 

The latter went into her room and slammed the door. She didn't know why she got irritated, it was pretty childish of her. Ryujin might've expected Lia to react differently. She went into the bathroom and took a hot shower to take Lia out of her mind. 

After the shower, she changed into her tight black jeans, tucking in her black shirt, layering it with a black leather jacket, and finishing it with her black LV boots. 

When she got out of the bathroom, she saw Lia sitting on her bed dressed in light-washed jeans and a long sleeve shirt that showed off her sharp collarbones. 

"What are you doing here?" Ryujin asked in a low tone of voice.

"I just wanted to wait for you," Lia answered wondering why her mood changed. 

"Get up and let's go," the other girl grabbed her phone and wallet from her side table and proceeded out of her room not even glancing at Lia.

Did I do something wrong?  the oldest asked in her thoughts. 

The girls went out and were on their way to the mall. During the car ride, the other three noticed how Lia and Ryujin weren't talking with each other and were so tense. There was space between them which normally doesn't happen. 

Yuna pulled out her phone to text her best friend. (Ryujin in bold, Yuna in italics)

What happened between you two? 

What do you mean? 

You guys aren't talking?!!

So what? Do we have to be talking all the time?

There's something wrong Ryujinniee

Stop texting me

Awww, is it because she said: "nobody wants to see you half-naked?"

Shut up, no 

Ryujinnie you are so cute hehe

If you don't stop texting me, I will stop this car and throw you out

okay okay okay but don't worry my little ryu I saw the way she was drooling over your sexy abs she even threw a strawberry at poor Cherry when she was checking you out earlier :) :)

They have arrived at their destination and Yuna immediately pulled them to the Gucci store. Ryujin was still giving Lia the silent treatment but Lia was already hating it.

"Ryujinnn, help me choose which bag to buy," Lia whined and grabbed her hand. Ryujin followed in suit and stood behind her. 

"RYUJIN?" someone called.

She turned around and saw a girl around her age. She gasped finally realizing who it was.

"YIREN?!" Ryujin shouted back and ran to her.

The two collided giving each other the tightest hug ever almost knocking the stand beside them. Ryujin couldn't believe she saw Yiren here out of all places. Lia felt jealous and scoffed, the three girls stood beside her examining the two. 

"Huh, never saw her in my life," Yuna said scratching her chin.

"Me too," added Yeji.

"They seem close though, they look like lovers who haven't seen each other in a long time. Look at how the girl is looking at Ryujin and where her hands are placed. If they were together and made a family, their child would carry amazing genes." Chaeryeong said but was nudged by Yeji.

They noticed that Lia stormed out of the store, not sparing a glance. The three kept silent, not knowing what to do. Ryujin approached them, the girl trailing beside her. 

"Hey guys, where's Lia?" she asked.

"Uhh yeah about her. She just left Ryu, I think you should go after her," says Yeji. 

"Will you be okay if I leave you here with my friends? I'll be back." 

"Of course there's no problem." Yiren nodded and Ryujin ran to find Lia.
