Chapter 21

"Babe!" Lia laughed as she tried to run away from Ryujin who was covered in flour. They were baking a cake for Ryujin's birthday but a mess was made. 

"I'm coming!" Ryujin sped up around the kitchen counter and trapped Lia between her and the counter. "Got ya."

"You always got me, baby." Lia smiled and kissed her soft lips. Ryujin kissed back but pulled away and got flour all over Lia's face. 

"Aww, you look so cute," Lia grunted and smooshed her face against Ryujin's, the pair are now looking like ghosts. 

"There, that's better." 

Ryujin chuckled grabbing Lia and placing her on top of the counter. "Do I look good, baby?" 

Lia nodded in response and pecked her lips, "You always look good." 

Ryujin pulled her closer and pulled her in for a kiss. The door suddenly opened revealing Yuna, Yeji, and Chaeryeong.

"Woah, Woah. Get a room." Yuna said placing the bag of strawberries on the table.

"Really? Is this how you greet your best friends?" Yeji crossed her arms pretending to be annoyed but Chaeryeong pecker her lips making her blush. 

"Whipped," Ryujin says helping Lia get down from the counter. 

"What happened to your faces?" Yuna asked. 

"Uh, this." Lia sneakily grabbed a handful of flour and attacked Yeji who was near her with it. "You look hilarious." 

"Lia!" Yeji yelled and did the same to her. The five girls were now playing like children attacking each other with flour. 

"I'm gonna get you midget!" Yeji chased Lia around the counter. 

"Ah! Ryu, save me!" Lia shouted while laughing and Ryujin tried to get Yeji. 

"Chae! Not my beautiful face!" Yuna exclaimed protecting herself from the dangerous girl. 

"Come here, you giant!"

Ryujin caught Lia and got her away from Yeji who ran over to Yuna and Chaeryeong. 

"Hi," Lia said wrapping her arms around Ryujin's neck. 

"Hi, baby." 

"I love you." 

"I love you too. Forever and always?." 

"Forever and always, my monkey." 

"Do you remember that, babe? We had so much fun that day. That was one of the moments when I felt truly happy. Ryujin, I miss you so much, please come back. Every day I'm missing your touch, your addicting scent, your passionate kisses, and your safe cuddles. I wish you hadn't left us, babe. Your mom and dad, they're doing great with their business. Yeji and Chaeryeong are planning to get married. While Yuna and Heejin got together and became the most crackhead couple I've ever met. While I'm here trying to pursue my dream of becoming a singer. You always said to follow my dreams and here I am. I'm doing this all for you, Ryu." Lia caressed the name of her girlfriend's name that was carved on the grave. 

"It's so cruel, baby. You flatlined 5 times that night and they revived you. But your brain started bleeding again and your heart didn't want to work anymore. It pained me to see you in that state fighting for your life, I knew you were hurting and I just wanted to go to your side, hold your hand and tell you that its all gonna be okay." She placed the flowers on top of the grave and a picture of them both. 

"Thank you for fighting for us, baby. You will always be in my heart, forever and always. We'll be meeting again soon, monkey. I expect you to give me your best kisses and hugs. Happy Anniversary, Ryujin. I love you so much." Lia finally broke down in tears and sobbed. 

"Hi, Lia. I'm sorry, I couldn't keep my promise. I'm okay here but it would be much better if I was there by your side. I see that you've become a successful artist and I couldn't be prouder, babe. I'm always here for you. I miss and love you too my baby." Ryujin's ghost sat by Lia and attempted to wrap her arms around her. Lia sighed as she felt her girlfriend's embrace. 

"You will always have the pieces of my love, my dumpling."
