Grace has been tracking down her best friend for days. She used an energy draining spell to assist her, much to her dismay, she overhears the Overlord and the mysterious figure planning to get Lloyd and her in one. She sets off to save her best friend, but fails. The white-scaled figure turned out to be Pythor. Garmadon was abandoned, but survived the fall. Lloyd and Grace were taken prisoners by the Overlord for him to extract their golden powers as soon as possible...

"Wake up Golden Masters!" Pythor yells and bangs on the glass. Lloyd and I scrambled up from the position we fell asleep in. The Overlord was awake too and everything seemed ready for the transference. They just needed one of us in here to drain from.

Lloyd and I stepped far away to the corner of the room in the circular tube. We held hands so neither would be taken away from the other.

"Get the green ninja, I want to take the powers of the Hybrid first!" The Overlord ordered. Pythor nodded and evil Wu began opening it up to take Lloyd. I put him behind me to protect him.

"You take Lloyd, and I'll cut your head off!" I threatened Pythor. The Overlord began cackling at my attempt of being intimidating.

"No you won't! You're still weak! And if you do that, we'll attack the citizens of the city. And your partner in crime. You don't want to see your best friend be killed, right?" He said in a downgrading way. I slumped in my stance. Pythor placed the cuffs on me again and I scrunched my face up in agony.

"Lloyd, everything will be okay. I promise." I said as he began fighting Wu and Pythor to break out of their hold. They dragged him out of the glass cell and enclosed me in it.

"No! Grace!" Lloyd cried. I walked towards him and placed my hands on the glass. I hope that hex is still working, because I'll need it in order to keep my powers and save Ninjago.

"Begin the transference!" The Overlord demanded. Pythor had a wicked grin and pulled the lever to begin the transaction. I could feel the energy around me trying to take my golden power, but there was another energy force protecting it. I felt as I was in a protective bubble of magic, keeping the magic from getting out but bringing more powers in.

I could see the confused and worried faces across everyone when they saw it wasn't working. I checked the Overlord and his golden power percentage was still very low. It was a comfortable low. The Overlord grew irritated and groaned.

"WHY ISN'T IT WORKING??? Why can't I feel the powers of the Hybrid coursing through my veins???" He complained agitated. Pythor looked at me with eyes narrowed.

"What's the meaning of this? Did you place another spell on yourself while you were gone?" He asked with furrowed brows. I smirked smugly.

"Didn't have to, I was born this way. Which means, you're not getting a drop of power from me." I replied in an intimidating way. The Overlord screamed in agitation.

"Get her out! I want the green ninja!" He screamed as the cage opened up to throw Lloyd in and pull me out. I screamed and tried fighting back, but the cuffs began to tighten and hurt again.

"If you harm one hair on his head-"

"You'll what? Stare at me until I begin shaking in my boots?" Pythor teased while flipping the lever again. This time it started working. Golden power was circling around Lloyd and began leaving his body. The technology absorbed it and transferred it to the Overlord's body.

"Yes, now it's working. You two! Go attack the city! I'll keep the Golden Masters here." The Overlord commanded as a robot took a hold of me. Pythor and Wu left, leaving Lloyd and I trapped by the Overlord.
