Grace fought in her battle to stay in the tournament. Lots of struggles happened, and lots of threats were tossed around. Betrayal was found again because of Amethyst. Grace seemed like she would lose until she used her mermaid powers to find the jade blade and win her fight. Now they're resting up for the next battle to be taking place in the afternoon...

After quite a short 12 hours of doing nothing but sleep after my fight, it was time to meet at another palace arena for the next battle. And all I wanna say is, I want to go back to bed. Everyone looks pretty chirpy and wide awake, meanwhile, I'm groggy and have had a lot of abdomen pain recently. My thigh has been hurting too, but not as much as my gut. I figured it was from the lack of sleep I got and the mix of being almost beaten to death less than a day ago. Guess I won't be finding out soon...

I decided to get to the arena early and save a spot for the ninja and Garmadon. I also wanted to get there early because I heard it was going to rain, and I'd really rather not go full mermaid tail in the middle of the palace grounds. Luckily, the cult member people had just finished setting it all up, so I was allowed to go in.

Some elemental masters came early as well, which I didn't mind. Jay informed me before we took our long nap that he would come early as well. Like I said before, I didn't care.

"Hey, Grace, who's fighting today?" Jay asked as he sat beside me. As if on cue, he entered. I sent him a small smile and shrugged.

"I think Skylor is fighting today. And according to the bracket, she's versing Jacob." I answered him while turning my attention back to the fighting arena below. There were different vases in different designs and colors placed around the room. It was beautiful; too bad they might destroy them.

"Oh, that reminds me. Kai might be a little late to the fight. He's snoring heavily, which means he'll be out for a while." Jay informed me before I turned my gaze back to the arena and hummed. He sighed and shook his head.
"Are you pissed at me or something? Ever since Cole lost, I feel like you've been avoiding all of us. But me most of all." My eyes widened at his assumption, and I turned my gaze back to his electric blue eyes.

"What? Jay, no. I'm not mad at you. I've just had a lot going on mentally. And Cole's absence doesn't make any of it better." I reassured him while placing my hand on top of his for comfort. I'm not angry with Jay. I'm really not. I'm mad at myself because I could've stopped it all. I'm mad that I didn't do anything and I still hadn't told him about my...y'know...

"I really hope you're not. Cole doesn't want that for you as you move on." He commented as I furrowed my brows and withdrew my hand. My jaw dropped in awe as I stayed speechless.

"H-how would you know that?" I asked while anxiously playing with my moon ring.

"He told me himself before Chen took him away after he lost." He answered. I let out a breath I didn't even know I was holding.

"What else did he say?" I asked, taking a deep breath to keep myself together. I tugged on my necklace and mentally braced for impact.

"He told me to keep you from doing dumb things and keep you safe." He replied while sitting up straight in his spot. The other elemental masters began piling in for the fight. And it seemed like it started to drizzle a bit too. My breath hitched. Of course, he said that to him. He can trust his best friend to keep that promise.

"Seems like you have your work cut out for ya." I chuckled, which made him laugh too.
"Anything else?" Jay looked down at the ground to collect his thoughts before meeting my gaze again.
