It was a few months after Zane's death. Grace grieved during the month after, but Lloyd would always be there to cheer her up. One day was different from the rest, although. Before anything bad could happen, Cole saved her. She left angry at him with a few lingering injuries. Nothing interesting happened over the next couple of months, except Grace's visions of her brother being alive growing stronger...

Lloyd had recently asked me to join him, Borg, and Sensei Wu to try a hologram test to keep our ninja skills sharp. I politely declined and told Lloyd that I'll try it some other time. He understood perfectly well why I didn't feel like going. It may have been a few months, but now I'm re-getting use to him not actually being here which was really starting to hit me. Also, Sensei has been telling him to dial it back on trying to cheer me up and let me figure myself out. Which I really appreciate, because I now have to readjust to losing my brother, again.

What was I doing while Lloyd was trying out the test and the other ninja were getting on with their own lives? I was people watching. And when I say people watching, I mean I was following the other three and seeing how their new lives are going. I was about to enter the audience seats for one of Jay's shows when I got a call from Lloyd.

"Hey, Wu wants me to try and bring the team back together? Want to help?" Lloyd asked over the phone, his motorcycle roaring in the background.

"Um, maybe. I'm in the middle of something right now, but if you want to meet up with everyone I'll try to be there." I answered him before hanging up and stuffing my phone into my varsity jacket pocket. I entered into the show area where the audience sat. The lights dimmed and the red light that showed we were airing turned on. Everyone chanted the show name as Jay with styled hair and a blue suit entered the stage with a microphone. Huh, he seems to be doing well.

"I'm Jay, Ninjago's most lovable ninja, here before the Gauntlet of Humility to see who will be Ninjago's next hero and whose dreams will be gone... in a flash!" Jay introduced himself, then threw his mic towards the right of him. He used his lightning powers to makes himslf fly and land next to one of the contestants and catching the mic in style. Overdramatic as per usual. Everyone was clapping and cheering, I just clapped and shook my head. At least he seems happy.
"I'm here with Cathy, tireless mother of four, pillar of the PTA and returning contestant." He introduced the middle aged woman in an all pink tracksuit and a pink helmet. Call this a hunch, but I think her favorite color is pink. Jay turned to her and held his mic between them.
"Tell me, Cathy, after being humbled by the gauntlet the first time, what makes you think this'll be any different?" Jay asks the normal game show host questions. My smile turned lopsided as she grabbed the microphone.

"Because ninja! nEVER! QUIIIIIITT!!!" She exclaimed into the mic, leaving a shocked Jay by her words. I may not know what he's thinking, but I could definitely tell that it hit him hard. That line got me too, but not because I am quiting. Because everyone thinks I have quit or should quit because of Zane's death. But I'm not, not when I might start thinking he's still alive. And even if he is truly gone, I wouldn't give up. I could never. Jay laughed nervously but brushed off the comment.

"Okay, Cathy. Start the doomsday clock!" Jay exclaims as the timer starting counting up. She began by swinging on the ropes, then running on wheels that spun, and dodging boxing gloves. Sadly, one of them got her in the face before she fell on the mats. Everyone but me gasped. Yet the woman stood up and chuckled.

"I got farther than last time!" She announced while standing up. Everyone cheered and clapped for her. Jay chuckled and stood back up to look at the camera.
