AUGUST P.O.V.
"Your hair looks cute Li-Li." I took her dancebag from her as I eyes her new hairstyle. "Thanks, Auntie Kelsey did it, I thought it was cute like this." She pulled on her two huge braids and smiled.
"Well you were right about that." I said in a chuckle. "But mommy does my hair better." I smirked. "Of course." "Do you know when she's coming back?" I sighed and shook my head. "No, but Im sure she won't be gone that long, she's working."
She nodded. "I know." It's only been three days since Simone has left, and so far Aliyah's been okay. Every no and then she'll questioned when she's coming back, but besides that she's fine. I guess because she speaks to her everyday on face time, she doesn't miss her that much.
"You ready to go?" She nodded her head yes. " I opened up the door and motioned for her to walk out first. Brutus drove me here, since Im still cripppled." She laughed. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot." I stepped out the door and paused once I heard a familar voice call my name.
I turned around to see that Sean guy standing behind me. I turned back to Aliyah and handed her her bag. "Get in the car baby, Im coming." She nodded and followed my instructions.
I turned back around to him and put my hands in my pockets. "..Wassup?" I asked sternly. "I know you might be wondering why Im speaking to you, but I just wanted to know how Simone was doing." I frowned.
"Why you concerned?" He rubbed his chin before speaking. "I haven't heard from here in a minute, so I was just tryna make sure she was ight." I nodded. "She's fine."
He nodded. "You don't got to check up on my wife, she good." He chuckled. "Ight, just tell her to give me a call." I clenched my fists together as I watched him walk away.
I took a deep breath and made my way back over to the care, sliding in the passenger seat. "Daddy?" I looked back at Aliyah as I buckeled my seatbelt. "I need a tutu for Saturday." I frowned. "What's going on Saturday??"
"My first ballet recital, Ms.Karen just told us about it today." I nodded. "Can't you wear one of them tutu's in your closet?" She shook her head no. "Nooo, I need a new tutu and stockings, just for Saturday." I sighed and chuckled. "Alright, Saturday's a week from now, so I'll take you on Friday." She nodded, satisfied with my answer.
"Is mommy coming?" Brutus and I looked at one another. "...Im not sure, but knowing mommy, I don't think she'll miss it." She smiled. "Okay."

I exhaled slowly as I did my last leg lift for the day. "Good job, now all you need to do its walk on the treadmill for about 20 minutes, and your done for the day." I sighed and wiped the beads of sweat off my forehead.
I slowly stood up from where I was sitting and walked over to the treadmill. Once my therapist started it up for me, I began walking. "Take your time and don't try to over do it, If you need to stop, let me know, don't push your self." I nodded. "Ight man, thanks."
He walked away from the treadmill and over to the bench, grabbing his water bottle. "I was expecting to see your wife here, she wanted me to let her know how you were progressing." I sighed. "You gunna have to call her, she's not here...I don't really know where she is."
He nodded slowly. "Oh..um..alright." I pushed the end button the treadmill and slowly stepped off of it. "You okay man?" He asked me. I shook my head. "Nah, I just need a minute." I slowly walked over to the bench and took a seat beside him.
"Woman problems?" He asked with a smirk. " I wiped my forehead with my towel and looked over at him. "How you knew??" He chuckled. "I can tell, because I know it all too well."
"You married?" He shook his head no. "Nah, Im divorced." I lifted a brow. "Really?"
"Yeah." I nodded slowly. "....How was it? Getting divorced and all?" He sighed. "At the time I thought it was the best thing..." I frowned. "And what about now?"
"Now Im okay with it and I moved on, but I went through alot, shit I missed my ex like crazy, it was like after I got divorced, I wanted to fix everything and tell her how much I loved her."
"Damn forreal?" He nodded. "Yeah, we let alot of petty things tear us apart, and looking back at it now, it wasn't worth giving up over, but what's done is done." I nodded slowly.
"Right.....Ight, well thanks man, I appreciate you coming everyday helping me out." He nodded and stood up from the bench. "No problem."
"Daddy." I turned around and looked over at the door to see Aliyah standing there. "Wassup Munchkin?"
"Somebody's at the door." I nodded. "Okay, tell Brutus to get it."
"He's sleeping, I tried to wake him up but he's knocked out!" I chuckled. "Alright, Im coming."
I readjusted the brace on my leg and stood up straight. "Excuse me for a second, I'll be right back." I walked over to the door and picked Aliyah up before making my over to the front of the house.
I looked through the peep hole and sighed once I seen Kerri and Ellis standing there. "Who is it?" She asked me as I sat her back down. "Auntie Kerri and Ellis." She smiled. "Oh! Open the door!"
I sighed once more time before unlocking the door. I slowly stepped to the side and let them come in. "Hey Auntie Kerri, hey Auntie Ellis." Li-Li quickly hugged the both of them, excited to see them.
"Hey double A." I turned to Aliyah and motioned to the stairs. "Do me a favor and go upstairs for a minute okay?" She sighed and nodded. I watched her run up the stairs and away from us.
I turned back to Kerri and Ellis, who didn't seem to pleased to see me. "So where she at?" Ellis said, placing his hand on his hip.
"I don't know, I thought y'all would know." Kerri shook her head. "Kelsey told us that she left, but she didn't call us, and she hasn't called us yet." I shrugged. "Well I don't know where she's at, sorry."
Ellis looked around the house with a brow lifted. "So she's missing?" I sighed. "No, she's not missing, Aliyah and Kelsey talk to her everyday."
"And you don't?" Kerri asked. I sighed and shook my head no. "...Nah, I don't."
"Oop." Ellis said lowly. "When you get a chance, tell Kelsey to tell Simone to call us, we're worried about her." I sighed and nodded. "Yeah, I gotchu."
I opened up the door and let them out. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. The fact that Simone didn't tell anyone where she was going or where she's at, was kind of scary to me.
Nobody would know where to look if something happened to her, and that wasn't safe. A ran a hand down my face and tried to clear my head, when I heard Kelsey calling me from upstairs.
"August!" I turned to the staircase and leaned up agaisnt it. "Yeah!" I stood up straight once I heard her footsteps coming down the stairs.
"I just got off of facetime with Simone." I nodded. "I told her that Aliyah had her first recital on Saturday, so she's coming home." Both of my brows shot up. "Forreal?"
She nodded. "Yeah, I just thought you should know." "Ight thanks."
*********************************
I sat back in my seat as I watched Kelsey help Aliyah pick out her tutu for Saturday. I knew she had to look nice since she was going to be on stage and Simone was finally coming home. Saturday makes a week since she's left, and I would be lying if I said I wasn't going to be happy to see her.
"You like this one daddy?" Aliyah asked, stepping out behind the curtain. "It's cute....but it's too short." Kelsey smacked her lips together. "It's a tutu August, it's going to be short, besides she has to wear tights under it."
I shook my head. "Nah, pick another one." Kelsey sighed and grabbed Aliyah's hand, helping her look around the rest of the shop.
