AUGUST P.O.V.
I gripped my cane and stood up from the couch once I heard the front door close. It's been a week since Simone left, and I was somewhat excited to see her today, since Kelsey told me she on her way back home last night.
I took a deep breath and walked out to the front of the house, where she was at. Once I seen her sitting her bags down by the door, a small smirk formed on my lips. "...Hey ma." She looked up at me and sat her shades on top of her head. "Hey."
I examined her face, which seemed much happier than before. I could tell she wasn't wearing any makeup, but she seemed like she was somewhat glowing, maybe it was from the apparent tan she had, but there was definetely something different about her.
"I see your up and walking." She said motioning to my cane. "Yeah, doc said Im healing pretty fast, I didn't expect to be using a cane so soon, I should be walking normally by then end of the week." She nodded. "That's great."
A awkward silence filled the room for a few seconds. ".....How was the therapist? Was he any good?" He nodded. "Yeah he was damn good, he helped alot, part of the reason why Im walking so fast."
She smirked. "Good." She picked up her bag and made her way over to the stairs. "You need help?" She shook her head no. "No, I got it, I don't want you to hurt yourself." I watched her drag her suitcase up the stairs, causing me to chuckle.
I followed her up the stairs and into our bedroom. "...You've been sleeping in here?" She asked me, motioning to the messy bed. "Uh yeah, Just for the past week." "Oh...Okay."
She picked up her suitcase and sat in on the bed. "....Can we talk?" She nodded. "Yeah, sure." She unzipped the suitcase and started unpacking.
"...I know you were upset...we both were....but why'd you leave?" She sighed. "I needed to step back and take some time for myself. After our arguement, I felt like I was losing my mind. For years, I put everyone before myself and I just needed a moment." I slowly nodded.
"I couldn't stay here trying to take care of everyone when my mind wasn't right, everything just became really overwhelming, and I had to get away....but Im back now, I feel a whole lot better and I'm sorry for walking out the way I did, leaving you and Aliyah."
"I accept your apology." She nodded. "And Im sorry too." I started. "I shouldn't have said all that rude shit to you, about the miscarriage and stuff, it was out of line."
"...I accept your apology....and Im sorry for not taking any of your calls, I wasn't ready to speak." He nodded. "It's cool....so....where'd you go?" She walked back and forth from the bed and closet, putting away her clothes. "I didn't know where to go at first, but I had my passport in the glove compartment, so I settled on going to Jamaica."
Both of my brows shot up. "You went all the way to Jamaica?" She nodded. "Damn...how was it?"
"It was great, and I feel great." "You look good too." She slightly smirked. "Thank you, but I should be leaving in a few minutes." I frowned. "You just got back, where you going??"
She laughed. "Calm down, I have to go check up on the boutique, and I have a anger management class after." I frowned. "Anger management?
"Oh yeah, I never told you about that." She started. "When I got into the fight with Ryelle back in Atlanta, they assigned me to anger management for two months." I nodded. "Ain't it been like two months??"
"Yeah, it's my last meeting." I nodded slowly. "Oh ight..I'll see you later then." She smiled and nodded. "Okay, I'll be back soon."
