Chapter Five
(Josephine)"Pia, you're going, right?" Joey asks her. I turn my attention to Pia. She nods, smiling.
Both of them know what they are going to do for my birthday. Their plans, I have never got a clue, but a club is going to be include in their plan. As always.
"I'll see you on Sunday." She says, blowing a kiss to the both of us.
It's Friday already. Second week of August. The days passed by so quickly, and my birthday is nearly there. Just two more days, and I'm eighteen.
I'm getting a bit nervous for the upcoming day. It's a huge day for that. Everything will change a bit, but I would never change. I tried to, but I'm going to be like this forever.
I deeply sighed, as we're walking towards the bike racks. I have to go to the shop, and buy some folders and pens for my upcoming assignments and essays for this semester.
"Hey, I'm going to the store and buy some stuff. Wanna come?" I ask her. I might even buy something for myself.
"I can't. I'm sorry, I have to finish this assignment we have." She says, apologetically. I nod, and give her a small smile.
"Okay, I'll see you later." I tell her, and she nods. She embrace me for a hug, before hopping on our bikes and go on our separate ways.
Riding my bike, passing by the streets with full of people. Most are tourists, going here to check out the place. Taking a look and pictures of the colleges and chapels they're going to visit.
It might bother the students passing by, but I think they're already considered it's fine. And I'm just starting to feel comfortable here, until I remember him.
He is somewhere in this university. Strolling, might even riding his own bike. And why the hell am I thinking about what he's doing in his life?
I deeply sighed, when I have finally arrived at the shop. Parking my bike by the racks as I get inside the store and start finding the things I need for my works and myself.
Grabbing a red basket to put my things on, and stroll around the store. When I found everything I needed and paid for it after. I was about to go out of the store, until I bump into someone. I look up to see him again.
My eyes gone wide, and my heart starts pumping insanely. I gulp, and stepping backward a bit.
"Jo," He whispers my name, as chills ran down my spine making me shiver.
"Your highness," I said, and look up at him. He is so tall.
"Just call me Hero, please." He says. His voice gone low and deep.
The lights coming from his green eyes turns dark. My chest heaves up and down in a faster pace.
"Can I talk to you?" He says.
What do we have to talk about? Is he going to ask about me? Why am I crying that day. Or he lied about opening my phone, and he saw everything what inside of it, especially my notes.
My palms are sweating right now, and I need to go home. I need to avoid him. Because I don't want to hear his pathetic words about me being vulnerable and a girl with a terrible past who blames herself for everything.
I slowly shake my head. "I can't talk to you right now..." I said. Taking a step forward but he blocks me.
"I have to go, Hero." I snapped, pushing him away from my sight.
