Chapter Seven
(Josephine)
I breathe in the unfamiliar smell of the duvet, holding it tightly in my hand and bringing it closer to my face. I twisted, turning on the other side of the comfortable, soft bed. I was so relaxed until I felt someone's skin on my elbow.
I immediately opened my eyes and seeing someone's back facing me. I covered my mouth as I gasp on my palm. Staring at his bareback, wide-eyed. No, no, no.
I looked down at me, as I see I have clothes on which I don't know where it belongs. It's a pair of pajamas. I gulped while I slowly let myself be on the edge of this huge bed. Where the hell am I?
I look around my surrounding, seeing a very fancy and looking royalty room I am in. Two chandeliers are hanging up on the high ceiling. A huge flat-screen TV placed on an elegant table, with extravagant designs. Where the hell am I? What am I doing here? Why am I here?
I am totally lost and confused right now. I don't remember anything from last night at the club. The only thing I can comprehend at this moment was that I came into the club with Joey. Then, taking shots with Pia and the others, then the rest is history. I don't remember myself getting knocked up into some room. And I am so completely different from other girls. I am very disappointed with myself. I shouldn't have agreed to Joey's plans. I shouldn't be here, or anywhere that can cause me trouble.
The person—the man next to me, turns around and lie straight on the bed. When I slowly glance at him, I couldn't believe who I just saw. I want to squeal so bad, but I don't want to wake him up, and it will ruin my life forever.
I observe him, and he is half-naked. His top is shirtless, as he raises his arm to cover his face. I couldn't believe that I had slept in with the prince of Cambridge.
"Oh, my God," I gasp.
My heart is pounding, while my head is throbbing, and in pain from all of the drinks, I had drunk last night I could barely remember.
"Holy shit—" I immediately cover my mouth with my hand. I got startled by the trumpet noise playing outside of this palace.
Palace. Oh, my God. I'm in a real palace with his other royal family members. The Duke and Duchess are here. And based on what Joey had told me, also a princess—his sister—is here. I am so doomed.
I hear him groan when the trumpet doesn't stop. It also made my headache got even worst since I woke up from this madness. I should be finding my clothes by now and sneak out of this huge mansion. Hoping that I won't get caught in any ways.
With my plan inside my head, and I was about to do it until he moves again and finally opened his eyes. The trumpet noise had ended, and my throbbing headache goes back to its normal pain. I looked away from him and closed my eyes.
"You wake up too early," Hero yawns and stretches his arms and legs under the duvet.
I heavily breathe before I asked the question I have been dying to ask since I woke up. "Did we?" And hopefully, it's a no.
I bring my gaze at him, and he is now sitting up. His back resting on the headboard, while his eyes meet mine. I avoided them and looking at somewhere else and safe.
"No," He replies. I mentally sighed in relief when his answer is what I have been praying for. I can finally breathe now.
His side of the bed lightens when he stands up and crosses in the room only wearing boxer briefs on. My eyes widen, and quickly look away again and focused on the closed huge curtains instead.
