After yesterday's day of peace and things finally getting together. Cassie has a new optimism, she walks into work with confidence, with pizzazz, with a new light on life.-

"Cassie, Mr Holloway wants  to see you in his office."
"Really?"

And there goes the optimism, confidence, pizzazz and new light on life. Typical. Cassie walks to the main office while everyone just stares at her. This is either really good or really bad. She knocks on the door before hearing.

"Come in"

Cassie walks in and the tension is so intense it could be cut with a knife.

"Mr Holloway, you wanted to see me?"
"Yes sit down."

Mr Holloway just stares out the window before talking to Cassie. I'm gonna sit back for this one because I bet it won't go well.

"Cassie, do you know how I started this company and became this big tycoon."
"You started from the bottom and worked your way up,"
"Smart answer... now another question, did I work hard or just sit around and have others do the work for me"
"I assume you worked hard sir"-

Something snaps within Mr Holloway hence why he snaps a pencil and proceeds to shout... like an idiot.

"I DIDN'T JUST WORK HARD, IT WAS BEYOND THAT. MY SOUL WAS PUT INTO THIS. PEOPLE LIKE YOU WON'T UNDERSTAND."

People like her? What's that supposed to mean? Her whole character is about hard work.

"People like me? I'm sorry sir but I don't understand"
"See, there are two types of people in life, people like Michael who works hard, is charming enough to sell anything and doesn't complain, why do you think he got promoted?

Really? Michael? Is he talking about the same person?

"And then there's people like you who can finish a days work, who complains and demands a higher position WHEN YOU HAVEN'T EARNED IT!"

Mr Holloway regains composure before sitting down in his chair. And Cassie realises what Michael has done.

"With all due respect sir, when I talked to Michael, I just wanted something more"-
"I've had it with you... what's this girls name again"

Gesturing to Michael who has been stood at the door the whole time.

"Cassie"
"Right Cassie, seen as you're no longer worthy of your post in this company, I'm giving you a different job, feel lucky that I'm not firing you."
"Sir I"-
"Here is your new job take it or leave it. Years ago this program was created to help small business flourish but there's no profit in that, yet we still fund it, luckily this is the last year we're doing it. So all you need to is go to these businesses and listen to whatever they have to say then pass them as ineligible."
"But Sir"-
"Let me finish, obviously this job doesn't require much work so less money for you."
"A demotion?"
"Call it what you like and I'm not that harsh, you get the new kid to work with. What's his name?"

He gestures to Michael who smirks.

"Jason Watts"
"Right Watts, now obviously after this program ends, we won't need you anymore so start job hunting soon, don't want to leave it last minute. Now  you can leave, Michael, escort her out."

Cassie stands up, humiliated and baffled. Michael takes her out and before he walks away Cassie confronts him.

"Michael! What the hell was that?"
"I'm sorry, Cas, I don't know what you're talking about."
"Enough lies. What did you tell Holloway?"

His smirky face transitions to a hard stare within a second.

"I guess my little act is up. Obviously, I told him you wanted more out of this job... and I might have added some false truths here and there."
"You lied."
"Can you blame me? See the problem with you Cassie is you like to be at the top and you got too comfortable and the problem with me is I like being at the top too. I was second best for so long and now, I'm at the top, baby. I'm not as stupid as you think I am. Have fun with Watts I'm going to my office."

Michael heads to go to his office... in the wrong direction.

"If you're not as stupid as I think you are, why are you going the wrong way!"

Michael looks embarrassed as he continues to go the wrong direction... ego much.

"I know, but I like to go this way"

So there's the next big development of this downfall of disasters. She goes to Jason's empty cubicle and just sits in his chair thinking about what's she's going to do. Whatever happens, this is a great opportunity for our opposites to get closer with each other and that's all I'm here for.
