"Who would win in a fight, Captain America or Iron Man?" Caleb asked the guys. It was Saturday night so of course, we were all hanging out at my place.
"It's not me man. It's Naomi. I keep telling her Iron man would crush Captain America but the girl is as stubborn as they come." he argued back while typing away on his phone.
"You're as stubborn as they come," I added. Caleb never backs down from an argument. Naomi doesn't even know what she's started. Caleb could argue for days over something as simple as tv shows vs movies.
I know this because he's had that argument with my sister. Worst 14 days of my life.
"Shut up." He said, stuffing his phone in his pockets and standing from his position on the sofa. "I'm going now. Be back in a few."
"Where are you going?" Theo asked taking his eyes off the video game for a split second.
I looked at Caleb waiting for his response. He seemed a little nervous. "Uh. I'm going to go get us some food."
"Cool. From where?" It was Reece's turn to ask questions.
"Jomi's. That restaurant a few blocks down." At this point, Caleb was itching to get out.
"I'll come with," I told him. Jumping up from my seated position to put on some shoes and grab my keys.
"Wait. Why? You don't have to come." Oh, I'm definitely going.
"Well if I don't come how are you going to manage to carry all that food?" I smirked at him. He's obviously uncomfortable. I'm enjoying every moment of this.
"Oh. Uh. Okay fine," he replied scratching his head, "we're taking my car though."
"Whatever," I don't mind not driving, "Please don't trash the place and Reece, stay the hell out of Maddi's room."
"Can't make any promises. Say hey to the blonde at the register when you get there, would you? Thanks" Reece said while dodging bullets being shot at him.
I grabbed the first thing I saw and chucked it at his head before walking out with Caleb.
Note to self.: Get a new key bowl.
The ride to Jomi's was really short and I was starting to wonder why we didn't just walk. Jomi's is a small Italian restaurant that features seafood, steak, and pasta. It has a rustic design with slight touches of modern decor and warm lighting.
Maddison loves eating at this place and I completely get why. They serve great chicken alfredo penne.
Caleb walked in ahead of me and made his way over to the register. Sure enough, there was a pretty blonde behind it.
