"I'm never drinking alcohol again," Lydia vowed as she walked into the kitchen looking like absolute shit. Her eyes were barely open, her blonde hair was up in the messiest bun I've ever seen with only a long grey t-shirt on.

She dragged her legs over to the island and sat on a barstool then placed her head in her hand.

Typical Lydia. Goes out. Gets drunk. Wakes up and swears to never do it again. A week later, what does she do?
Yup. Gets drunk.

I find some ibuprofens in the cabinet and get her a glass of water to drink then start getting ingredients to make us breakfast.

"Honey I'm home!" I hear Naomi's voice followed by the door slamming.

"Shut the fuck up," Lydia grumbled in response.

Naomi looked at her then to me, "hungover?"

"Hungover." I chuckled. "So. How was your night?" I asked her with a suggestive grin on my face.

She started grinning from ear to ear. "It was good. Nothing happened though. Which I'm happy for. You know I'm not the type to sleep with people I've just met." Which is true. She has a rule and everything.
"He brought me back to his place. And we talked. All night. Eventually, we ran out of things to talk about so he turned on the tv and we just sat there watching The big bang theory and eating microwaved popcorn."

"Awww. That's so sweet. If I didn't feel so shitty right now I'd probably give you a hug." Lydia praised with her head still on the island.

"Yeah, I know. I fell asleep watching the show and when I woke up this morning he had gotten me coffee." She was blushing. Naomi rarely ever blushes.

"You don't even like coffee." I laughed

"He didn't know that. And I would've felt bad for throwing it away so i just drank it anyway. It actually wasn't bad." she took her hair out of the bun it was in and started off towards her bedroom.

"So you're a coffee love now?" I jokingly asked her.

"Only for his coffee." She winked before disappearing into the comfort of her room.

And at that comment, I started laughing. I even heard a little chuckle from grumpy Lydia.

"Oh come on. It's not even a debate. Chandler is clearly the funniest. Then Joey, then Phoebe." We were currently seated on the sofa eating candy while watching Friends on Netflix.

After making me miss a night's worth of friends yesterday, Lydia and Naomi decided to make it up to me by having a girls day in, watching friends episodes.

"I think it's fair to say that your opinion is biased. You have an unhealthy obsession with Chandler. Of course, you'd think he's the funniest." Naomi retorted from where she laid with her head in Lydia's lap.

"I am not obsessed. I'm just stating facts." obsession is a really strong word to use. I'd say I just really love his character.

Lydia tried to discreetly roll her eyes but I saw it. "Liv. Not many people can recite almost every joke the guy has made since the very first episode of the show. You're obsessed."

"You're one to talk Lyd. You're obsessed with a supervillain from  a cartoon." Naomi pointed as we both started laughing at Lydia's weird crush on the cartoon character.

"Felonius Gru is a criminal mastermind with a heart of gold, okay? How many villains do you see adopting children?" she whined.

Naomi and I were laughing so hard at how passionate she was about the topic.

I enjoy moments like these. Where it's just me and my friends and carefree banter. I can't even imagine life without these two.

I met Naomi when my family and I moved to California a couple of years ago. It was our third time moving and once again, I was the new girl starting school in the middle of the semester. I remember how lost and out of place I felt while trying to navigate my way to my assigned locker. I kept trying to get the stupid thing to unlock and that was when Naomi approached me asking if I needed help. We immediately became friends. Then later on our parents became friends.

Lydia only recently became friends with us the summer after our high school graduation. There was the local coffee shop that Naomi and I used to visit and one day this girl came in just trying to get an Iced Caramel Macchiato but this guy just wouldn't stop hitting on her. It was funny watching him get shut down try after try. Eventually, Naomi had enough and went off on the guy. Thus commencing a friendship between the three of us.

"Earth to Liv." I brought back from my trip down memory lane when Naomi started waving her hand around my face. "I asked if you "wanted to go get some dinner from Jomi's?"

"Yeah sure. Let's do it." I hopped up from my position on the couch to go get ready to leave.

I took a quick shower making sure to wash my hair in the process. Walking out of the bathroom I headed straight to my closet. I'm not really much of the type to get all dressed up to just get food so I just threw on a pair of ripped jeans, and a grey sweatshirt that was a little too big so I rolled the sleeves up a bit.

I applied some nude lip gloss and threw my hair up into a bun then exited my room.

"Ready to go?" Lydia looked up from her phone to ask.

I grabbed my phone and my purse from the couch. Then spotted something sitting on the coffee table. "Yeah. But before we go..." I trailed off. "Let's take a picture."

They both smiled and gathered in close so we can take a picture using my many polaroid cameras. Taking pictures is kind of my thing. Just like art is Naomi's and fashion is Lydia's.

Naomi is the only one pursuing a career in her thing. Lydia is a  major in Business Law and I'm doing a double major in Psychology and Environmental Law.

The picture comes out at the top of the camera and I laugh at the tongue Naomi stuck out at me when I wasn't looking.

I placed the picture on the coffee table, making a mental note to put it with the others when I return.  "Now we can go." I smiled at them as we made our way out of the flat and to my car.
