Noah had managed to get me home before 5:30. Which earned himself brownie points from Lydia.

I offered for him to stay for dinner but he had other plans with his sister.

It's currently 8:00 on Thursday morning which means that we were leaving campus in the next few minutes.

The drive to our home town was about 2 hours without heavy traffic.
Naomi's parents had scheduled to have brunch with her at 10:30.

Thinking about it now, maybe we should've left earlier to prevent her from being late. Not that she'd care if she kept her parents waiting.

We were just waiting on Caleb to arrive so we could all leave.

In the short time that they've known each other, he's managed to make Naomi really happy.

I would suggest that they were moving too fast but just seeing how they are around each other made me realize maybe time doesn't matter. As long as she's happy and safe.

"I'm here! Sorry I'm late. I planned on asking Reece to give me a lift but when I called him he sounded like he was a little busy. If you know what I mean." Caleb said hurriedly, jumping out of a silver jeep wrangler, followed by Noah who was in the driver's seat.

Caleb made his way over to my car and began loading in his stuff.

"So, another car owned by Noah McCoy?" I asked as Noah himself approached me.

It's my sisters. I brought my car to get serviced yesterday. I'm picking it up later today." He explained, "Maddie spent the night at a friend's house so she wasn't using hers. Figured I'd take it for a spin."

"Liv, we really should get going now," Naomi shouted, hopping into the backseat of the car.

"Okay." I responded to her, "Well I guess I should be going now." I smiled at him.

"I guess so so." He said, returning my smile with one of his own.

"Well bye then. I'll see you tomorrow." I said, turning on my heels and making my way towards my car.

"Hey, Angel." his voice sounded from behind me causing me to turn around to face him. "Drive safe."

A huge smile plastered on my face. "I will," I replied, jumping in the driver's seat of my precious car and starting our 2-hour journey.

"Caleb, if you don't shut up I'm putting you out and you can walk the rest of the way." Lydia threatened for the umpteenth time.

For the past 30 minutes, Caleb had made it his life's duty to belt out the lyrics to Ariana Grande songs.
Putting nicely, he was a horrible singer.

But listening to him and Lydia argue was entertainment enough.

We were only another 30 minutes away from arriving at the Lawson Residence.
