I woke up in the morning with a small headache. Nothing like I had originally expected.
I opened my eyes, unfamiliar with the setting of the room I'm in. It seems like a girl room, with makeup and a few other female necessities laying around.
Looking on the bedside table to my left, the alarm clock read 11:27 am. I contemplated going back to sleep for another hour but decided against it.
I rolled out of the sheets and stretched my legs. Hopping down from the bed I've now come to realize that this is Maddi's room. The gold light up capital M sitting on the opposite beside the table gave it away.
I quickly made the bed and exited her room after using her bathroom to fix myself up a bit.
My clothes were disheveled and my hair resembled a tumbleweed.
Exiting the room, I just now remembered about the monstrosity that this place acquired. I was in no mood to climb down a flight of stairs.
I was about the turnaround and settle on my earlier idea to sleep a little longer when I heard the door at the end of the hall open.
"Morning Angel," Noah said, leaning against his door frame in nothing but grey joggers.
I never got the whole fuss about guys n grey joggers but seeing Noah in them right now was surely doing something to my sanity.
He lives here. He probably has about a million shirts. Would it kill him to just put one on? His damp hair isn't doing much to ease the thoughts in my head. He clearly just hopped out of the shower.
And then there's me. Wearing the same wrinkled clothes from last night. I managed to wash a little bit of makeup off my face but it's not completely gone.
I bet I look like a sack of shit in comparison to him."You okay, angel?" He spoke again.
"Oh. Uh. Yeah. Morning." I stuttered. I tried to keep my eyes from wandering by looking directly into his.
If he noticed my awkwardness he decided not to call me out on it. "Breakfast?" It was more of a question than just a statement.
"Sure. Just one question. Is there any way to get to your kitchen without having to take the stairs?"
"No." He answered with confusion in his expression. "Do you have something against stairs?"
"I like to see it more like stairs have something against me."
He remained silent searching my face for any indication that I was joking. When he didn't receive one he started laughing. "You're something else Angel."
I rolled my eyes at him. I have managed to go most of the year without climbing any stairs. I was fortunate enough to have most of my classes on the ground floor. All except one. And I've ditched more times than I've attended.
"How did I even get up here. I don't remember climbing that thing last night."
"I carried you." his reply was short but it took me by surprise. He carried me? "You feel asleep off the sofa. Then you started talking in your sleep, something about being cold and Theo James."
Well shit. Ever since I've watched the Divergent series I've had dreams of Theo James. I've been told that I tend to say some embarrassing things in my sleep.
"Oh." I felt my face starting to heat up. I hate blushing. "Well since you were so kind to get me up here. Maybe you'll be kind enough to get me down?" I pulled out my best puppy dog eyes.
He walked over to where I was standing before turning his back to me. "Hop on angel."
This guy continues to surprise me. I never thought it would be that easy.
I hopped onto his back and wrapped my legs around his waist and my hands around his neck as he carried me down the stairs.
"Well this is a new way to exercise," Theo said as we entered the kitchen. He was sitting around the island, having coffee and toast.
"Yeah, man. Apparently, Olivia is too lazy to ever walk downstairs." He said, sitting me down on the counter.
"I am not lazy." I tried to defend myself. I am lazy. But I'd never tell them that.
"Okay angel. I believe you, "he said in the most unconvincing tone I've ever heard. I was about to defend myself again but he continued talking.
"Where's everyone else?" He asked Theo."Other two girls are sleeping in the guest bedroom. Reece and Maddi went out to get pain killers and I don't really know where Caleb is. He was gone when I woke up." Reece reported.
Noah nodded his head in understanding and started making his way around the kitchen, getting the ingredients and utensils he needs to make breakfast.
I shamelessly ogled his naked upper half as he mixed the pancake batter while placing strips of bacon into the frying pan. I haven't had urges in quite some time. The last time I looked at a guy the way I was looking at Noah was three months ago at my cousin's bachelorette party in vegas.
I've grown to appreciate the male body whenever it's being flaunted in front of my face. Surely most of
I've never been a big fan of a lot of tattoos. So I was slightly pleased that Noah's body wasn't covered in ink. He did seem to have one noticeable tattoo of an oak tree on his right shoulder blade. There was a writing underneath but it was too fine to see from where I was seated.
Theo and Noah had started a conversation about football but I had failed to pay much attention due to Noah's clothing choice or a lack thereof.
"Hey. We're back." Caleb announced, entering the kitchen with Reece and Maddi following behind.
"Where'd you go?" I asked Caleb, glad to finally be able to focus my attention elsewhere.
"I went out for a run and I picked up a green juice for Naomi. I remembered she said she liked those." He said.
"You've just earned yourself some major brownie points." I applauded him for his efforts.
"Go get everyone. Breakfast is ready." Noah instructed Caleb.
Theo shut his phone off and placed it on the countertop then turned to Reece and Maddi. "So. Where are they?"
"What?" Maddison asked unaware of what Theo was referring to.
"The pain killers. Didn't you say you were going to get some?"
"Oh right." Reece reached into the pocket of his jacket and pulled out a bottle of ibuprofen, throwing it to him.
Noah placed the large stacks of pancake and bacon on the island before returning with plates, forks and knives.
Naomi, Lydia and Caleb joined us as we all sat and ate Noah's breakfast.
His attractiveness multiplied by at least twenty the minute I tasted his pancakes.
Hands down the best pancakes I've ever tasted. What can't this guy do?
