SONG: ALL I WANT BY KODALINE
"The trouble is . . . you think you have time."

Ash's P.O.V.
It was all dark around me. And slowly things seemed to come to me. Pictures started forming in front of my eyes. My ears were still sort of in a non-working condition. The picture in front of my eyes got more and more clear every second, until a bright beam of light struck my eyes, making me pinch them. Then, I heard a long beep sound which was devastating. Soon, I was able to hear a bit. As the sounds got clear, my vision turned good too.
"Are you sure?" I heard Katie say.
"Yeah." Came sounds from a man who sounded like an old one, with a husky voice.
"But this is-" Katie said.
"Look, I understand it is difficult to absorb, but I am not going to give you false hopes dear. I have already done enough of that." The man said.
"What do you mean?" Katie asked, sounding concerned. I was not able to figure out where these noises were coming from. I was probably still not completely conscious.
"Look, last time when she was here, I had doubts she was going through this. But I didn't want to make you stressed out before the reports. This is the truth. And she has to live with it. There is nothing we-"
"Live with the truth?" Katie said, sounding as if she was crying.
"See I get your concern. But truth, my dear, can be bitter sometimes." The man said.
"Sometimes? Really?" Katie said in the middle of her sobs.
By now, I had gained a pretty good amount of consciousness. I realized the sound was coming from my side. I tilted my head to the right and saw Katie and Dr. Brown. He was the one who had checked me up on Monday.
"Katie?" I managed to whisper, making the two turn towards me.
"Oh my!" Katie said, still crying. She came towards me, giving me a tight hug. I was about to choke, but I controlled because she looked really worried.
"What is it?" I said. Her actions were worrying me now.
"No. Nothing." Katie said, trying to laugh between her sobs. As if she was happy to see me conscious, but there was still something that was bothering her.
"The sooner the better." Said Dr. Brown, with a sigh. "Tell her as soon as possible." He said, looking at Katie.
"Tell me what?" I asked, having no idea what was going on.
"Dr. Brown I need to talk to you." Katie said.
"Katie why don't you answer me?" I asked. And she kept ignoring me.
