Ash's P.O.V.

Really? A crush on ME? I was just teasing him. But, seriously?

John did the dishes in the kitchen. I insisted to help him, but he didn't let me.

After he was done, he came back. His sleeves were rolled up. His muscled arms revealed.

"John?" I said.

"Hmm?"

"You really have a crush on me? I mean, it's just been a few days." He rolled his eyes towards me, meeting my gaze. "It can be just imagination you know."

"Crush is equal to Imagination, Ashleigh Bradbury." He laughed. Gosh! Why is he so smart? And handsome?

Shush! Stop over thinking Ash.

"Math teachers would be so proud of you for making that equation." I laughed.

He chuckled back, and that was when we were back with those dreams which were now robust. I mean, aren't weird dreams supposed to be seen on night?

I saw myself sitting in a café or restaurant or something. They were playing some old song in the background and I had been doing some... Math? Eww. I hate math.

I lifted my head up and looked at the man sitting opposite to me.

"Ed?" I said, looking at John. So, he is still a part of this filth.

"Yes Candy?" He smiled. Candy? Is that a name? Perhaps, a nickname.

"I am really tired." Obviously Ash, no I mean Candy, if you keep doing math, you WILL be tired.

"Ash?" John said. I looked at him, realising I wasn't dreaming any more.

"How do you keep getting lost in your thoughts, in the middle of-"

And before he could complete saying, I pulled him into a hug. (I have no idea why)

"Ash, is everything... alright?" He asked, confused.

"Hmm. I am good." I said. I let him go and looked up at him. I was crying. Am I going crazy? Is this an effect of being an HIV positive? Is there some problem in my brain? Is it even possible to develop such a problem during AIDS?

John was still sitting there, right beside me. I really wanted to apologize. And before I could, he pulled me in his embrace.

"Don't let go until you want to. Cry it out." He said.
