Animagus

By the end of their 4th year Sirius, James and Peter had finally managed to make the potion with the dew, the hawk moth cacoon, the mandrake leaf and some of their hairs, now they just had to wait till a thunderstorm came so they could finally transform, of course the entire summer they waited for one, but nothing happened, so they had to keep saying the animagus incantation, which for Sirius wasn't easy as his mom was constanty watching him and setting him up on dates with various suitable pureblood witches, but Sirius rejected one after the other, the only nice one was Pandora Lestrange, but she was in love with someone else. Sirius also drove his mother mad by decorating his room with all kinds of things that his mother hated, posters from muggle bands, and from the magazines James had showed him, and lots of Griffindor memorabilia and put a spell on his room so she couldn't take anything off.

Back to school Sirius and James were playing a Quidditch match against Sytherin, Lucius Malfoy and Regulus played for the opposite, but no one could beat James's abilities as a chaser. leadding them to victory.

On the changing room Sirius and James were relaxing and ejoying their victory when a roaring rampaging sound came from outside, a storm, they had to go get the potion and tell the others, they changed into their uniformas as fast as they could and met Peter and Remus.

"are you ready? it's finally happening" Sirius said.

"we can finally do it, and we'll be able to transform with you Moony" Sirius said.

The four students ran towards the cave where they kept the potions safe.

they took the potions up and let lightning hit them.

"ok this is it on 3 we drink them and we say the incantation" James said

" 1... 2... 3" Sirius said before drinking the potion and immediately the three boys pronounced the incantation.

"Amato Animo Animato Animagus" the three casted in unison pointing their wands to their hearts, moments later, where the three teenagers stood were a stag, a dog and a rat.

Sirius looked down to see black paws instead of his hand, and looked around to see a huge stag and a little grey rat.

For the next couple of weeks they experimented with their animagus forms to be ready for the full moon and maybe use their new forms for pranks.

One day Sirius spotted Lily evans sitting under a tree calmly reading a potions book, he decided to approach her as a dog to see how she would react.

As he approached her she looked at him with a curious face, could she posibly be able to recognize or was she just startled to see a dog all of a sudden.

"Aren't you a cute doggie, are you lost? maybe that dog crazy witch from Hogsmeade lost you" Lily said.

Sirius limited to woof and twitch his tail, to be as dog-like as possible.

"My name is Lily, I would love to take you with me but they aren't that friendly with dogs only the ground keeper has one, students have all other kinds of pets" she said

Sirius was having fun fooling her so he decided to throw himself on top of her and lick her face a little game for himself and for James, he managed to kiss Lily before him, of course she would think that he was an animal that couldn't control himself.

"woah, buddie you're a little too affectionate with me, I've just met you" she said.

He kept at it a little longer before some hands pulled him from the back.

"you bad dog, what are you doing? get away from her, you shouldn't be here like this" James said behind him. Sirius knew he was choosing the right words to not startle Evans too much.

Lily looked as Potter took away the dog and talked him down as if he could understand him, maybe James's latest exploit was to learn caninetounge she thought to herself as she continued to read her potions book, fortunately the dog didn't drop too much saliva on it, Slughorn would hate for his favorite student to ruin her book.

"Padfoot what was that?" James said.

"I was testing how approaching students as a dog would work?" Sirius said.

"that doesn't mean launching yourself at them as if they were covered in meat sauce" James said.

"you mean people in general or Evans" Sirius said.

"I meant people in general but specially not her, we should get ready for tomorrow night our first full moon with Remus" James said.

The following night all the marauders went down the tunnel in and into the shrieking shack once in they began to witness Remus's transformation, he screamed as his body began to deform, he became a werewolf, Sirius, James and Remus already transformed into their animal form they spent the night together and it seemed as in werewolf form Remus could recognize them.

The next morning when Remus woke up he seemed happy to look at his friends by his side unharmed. They did it they found a way to be with him even on his dark nights.
