The air outside was cool and moist. It was around two in the morning so I shut the front door as quietly as I could in hopes that I wouldn't wake anyone inside the house. Soon, I began making my way over to the truck and without my crutches it was quite the challenge. After almost falling on my face four times I finally made it over to Ironhide. I gave the exterior of the vehicle a gentle pat before carefully sitting down on the ground.

The stars shone brightly in the night sky and the moon illuminated overhead. I sighed and leaned my head against the side of the truck. There wasn't really an explanation as to why I was out here at this time of night. I just felt it was better than sitting alone inside the house; plus I couldn't get myself to fall asleep and I refused to take more of those pills. It wasn't long before I ended up overdosing on them.

The front door clicked open and my head shot over to see Ron walking out of the house. He stopped halfway to the truck and gave me a look. I gave him an innocent smile and he shook his head before walking over to sit down beside me.

"What are you doing out here, kid?" he asked me.

I looked at him before turning to look up at the night sky. "Just observing nature. What are you doing out here?"

He chuckled. "That's for me to know," he responded.

I playfully rolled my eyes. A breeze blew by causing me to shiver. I hugged my right knee to my chest in an attempt to get warm but it wasn't quite helping.

"Do you not own a jacket?" Ron asked me.

I gave him a look. "I do. Several actually," I chuckled. He shook his head and started to take his off. "No. I don't want it. I'm fine," I assured him.

He didn't believe that. Instead he attempted to hand me the jacket. I only pushed his arm away causing a grunt to escape his mouth. I laughed.

"I already have one of yours in my closet. I'm fine, Ron."

He grunted again and pushed the jacket towards me again. I moved further away from him and he groaned.

"Azalea," he warned.

I laughed. "I said I was fine."

Another breeze blew past and I shivered again. As hard as I tried to conceal it, Ron saw it and smirked.

"Now, do you want to stop being stubborn and take or shall I take you back inside?"

I rolled my eyes and took the jacket. It was really big on me but I had expected it to be. On the other hand it was really warm.

"Thank you," I told him with a smile.

"You're welcome."

I looked back at the sky, today's events flowing throughout my mind. Remembering what Skids and Mudflap had told me, I smiled and looked at Ron. He was already looking at me.

"What?" I asked.

He shook his head and I frowned before leaning my head against the truck.

"Can I talk to you about something?" I asked him.

"What might that be?"

I sighed. Now seemed like the perfect time to do this. I just hoped that I wasn't about to embarrass myself.

"Earlier after you almost killed Skids, you went inside. After that they started telling me things," I started.

He looked at me. "What did they tell you?" he growled.
