The sun was just now setting over the horizon. I sat against the large oak tree that stood up the hill from my house just gazing at the beautiful sunset. I had been shooting for the past three hours or so and decided to take a little break, so now I was here. For the first time in a long time I actually felt peaceful; I felt happy.

It had been about a month since I found Braelynn's letter on my desk and it's been a tough month as well. I've spent the past four weeks doing everything I could possibly do to help get through her death and it's been working but very slowly. I wasn't fully there, but I was close. I was finally beginning to accept that she was gone and although it's been hard for me, I'm beginning to feel so much better about it and I know that Braelynn would be happy with my progress as well.

Her mother ended up giving her entire wardrobe to me during this time and that hurt me because it meant that she was and would no longer be coming back. On the bright side I was set for years. Braelynn had enough clothes and shoes for each child in Africa to have at least seven outfits. It was ridiculous actually.

Another good thing that came out of these four weeks was the fact that I was finally free of my sling and my cast. The serum worked wonders on my injuries and I felt so much better now that I was healed. If only he had used that when I injured my knee.

A presence could be felt beside me and I turned my head to see Ron standing above me.

"May I sit?" he asked.

I smiled and nodded. He sat down and I laid my head down on his shoulder.

"When did you get home?" I asked him.

He took my hand in his. "Just a few minutes ago. What are you doing up here?"

"Well, I was shooting but now I'm just watching the sunset," I answered him.

"How are you doing?" he asked me. For the past month he had been a part of my healing process and without him I wouldn't have been able to do it.

"I'm doing fine actually. For the first time in a long time I feel happy. It's like a weight has been lifted off of my chest," I told him, a smile on my face.

He chuckled. "What did I tell you?"

I looked at him. "Thank you."

He smiled and kissed my forehead. "You're more than welcome. I'm glad I could help you, Lea."

I smiled and hugged him. He wrapped his arms around me and pulled me closer to him.

"I've been meaning to talk to you about something," he said.

"And what might that be?"

"Well, you know how I feel about you Lea. I don't care that you're human and I really don't care that you're so young. I love you and I want to be with you no matter what the complications are," he started.

I looked at him, a questioning look on my face. "Please don't tell me you're going to leave me."

He rolled his eyes at me. "It's impolite to not let someone finish their statement."

I chuckled at his expression. "My apologies. Continue."

"As I was saying, I want to be with you no matter what the complications are. I have never felt so strongly for a being as I have you. You don't have to answer right away, but I would like for you to be my sparkmate, Azalea."

My eyes widened. What?

"Did you just like propose to me?"

He grunted. "Hardly."
