The day had gone by moderately slow and I hated it. The only good thing was that I hadn't received homework in any of my classes so far and I was thankful for that though to me it didn't quite make sense on why the teachers insisted on giving me so much homework when I wasn't in school. I prefer the work when I actually know what I'm doing with it.

Currently, I was sitting in my seventh period astronomy class. Mr. Hamilton was rambling on and on about stars while I was doodling in my notebook, not even bothering to pay attention to the lesson. I'd just get the notes from Braelynn later.

I looked up for a quick moment and noticed a certain body missing in the room. I nudged Braelynn's side and she stopped writing to look at me.

"Huh?"

"Where's Trent at?" I asked her.

"He switched classes," she whispered to me.

I just nodded and went back to doodling in my notebook. Minutes later the final bell rang and I packed my things into my bag before grabbing my crutches and following Braelynn out of the classroom.

"Why did you ask about Trent?" she asked as we approached our lockers. I put in my combination and opened my locker to put my books inside.

"I don't know. I was just wondering why he wasn't at school considering that it's been weeks since the incident has happened," I told her. I closed my locker and looked at her.

"Well he's here. He's just not in our seventh period class anymore."

"Why?" I chuckled.

"Beats me. He must be really scared of you," she joked.

I scoffed. "Yeah, I highly doubt it."

She shut her locker and turned to face me.

"Well, I'm just glad you're back at school. .again. You have no idea how lonely I've been without you here," she whined.

I laughed. "Well I'm here now, so no more loneliness for you."

She smiled at me and began walking away.

"I'll see you later, Lea. Text me," she called.

I just laughed and made my way out of the building as quickly as possible, though these crutches made it hard for me to do so. I noticed Ironhide sitting by the curb in front of the school, so I quickly shuffled towards him.

About halfway to the vehicle, I felt a tap on my shoulder. I stopped and turned around, only to be met with the eyes of Trent DeMarco. Shocked, I shifted backwards and ended up falling to the ground, my crutches clattering down beside me. I cursed under my breath and moved to retrieve them. Behind me I heard a car door open and slam shut. I didn't have to turn around to know it was Ron, so I threw a hand up in his direction as if to tell him that everything was fine.

Trent shifted in front of me. "Are you okay?" he asked me.

I just laughed at that. Since when did he care about my well-being? He held out a hand to me but I refused it. I used my crutches as an aid to help me stand up.

Once I was steady on my feet, I turned to face Trent. He was a lot different from the last time I saw him. There was a large blue cast on his right arm that extended from his wrist and all the way up to his shoulder. There was also an ugly yellow color on his face. I figured that was from where I kicked him.

"What do you want?" I asked him.

He sighed and stepped closer to me. I stepped away from him, careful not to fall backwards this time. He frowned.
