The ride to the base from my school took about half an hour. We drove in silence most of the way. The only time my dad or I talked was when he asked me about my school day to which he received my usual answer. I could tell that he was stressing over this entire thing, though I didn't quite understand why. Technically I should be the one freaking out. It was my first time meeting the Autobots.

My dad soon pulled up to a gate surrounded by multiple men in black suit. He didn't even need to say anything for the guards to let him through. The gates opened up and my dad drove through, the very familiar white building coming into view.

I had only ever been to the base about three times but I was much younger than I was now. t still looked the same as I had remembered it only there was one new feature. It seemed to me that they had attached a section of building to it. I assumed it was for the Autobots and was proved right when my dad drove over to the section of the building and parked.

Men ambled in and out of the building. Military cars and trucks were parked around the building. I got out of the car and walked around to the driver's side. My dad hopped from the driver's seat and stood beside me, a smile on his face.

"Okay. You've never been in this part of the building before so I'd advise you to stay close. There are a lot of soldiers bustling around today and I don't need you to get hurt again," he told me.

I nodded and followed him into the building, my eyes widening.

The building was absolutely huge. Machinery was everywhere. Planes and helicopters sat in rows on the ground while some even hung on the ceilings. There were large walkways protruding out from the different floors. The last thing I noticed about the building were the ten different cars and bikes that were parked in a row. They definitely weren't military vehicles and I knew this for sure when I noticed my dad's truck, the blue and red semi, and Ratchet's hummer all sitting by each other. These were the Autobots.

I was so focused on the vehicles that I almost ran into a piece of machinery. My dad grabbed my arm and pulled me close to him before I could injure myself though. He laughed.

"Be careful," he told me.

I just nodded and continued looking around. This placed amazed me in more ways than I thought possible. As I was examining one of the jets, I heard a very familiar voice.

"And there she is," the voice exclaimed rather loudly.

My dad laughed and I shot my head towards the direction it had come from. My eyes widened and I smiled as I saw my Uncle Epps walking towards me. Excitement overtook my body, and even with my weak knee, I ran to him, engulfing him in a giant hug. He laughed and released me.

"It's so nice to see you, Lea," he told me.

I frowned. "Why haven't you come by? I haven't seen you in months."

"I've had so much to do down here at the base. I would've dropped by had I been able to," he answered me.

"I've had quite a boring time without you, Uncle Epps," I joked.

He laughed. "I highly doubt that. You had your dad and Ron to keep you company."

"You can only take so much of them," I stated.

I heard a grunt from somewhere in the room but ignored it.

"Oh. Believe me. I know exactly how you feel," Epps laughed.
