My bedroom was dark. The clock on the bedside table read 6:00 AM. This past week had been fairly eventful but now it was time for me to go back to hell, also known as school. I didn't even know why my parents and Ratchet were making me go back today. .it was Friday.

With no motivation to get out of bed, I just laid there and stared at my wall. It wasn't until minutes later that I heard my bedroom door open. I looked over to see Ron walking in. He switched the light on and I groaned before hiding underneath the covers.

"Leave me alone," I mumbled into my pillow.

Suddenly the comforter was ripped away from my body. I glared at Ron who was smirking at me. I made a move to retrieve my comforter but Ron grabbed my hand before I could. I instantly felt butterflies in my stomach.

"Get up, kid."

I gave him a look. "You know, I'm about sick of you calling me kid," I teased.

He smirked before carefully pulling me out of bed and holding me to his body. I wrapped my free arm around his waist and smiled. It had been over a week since our little moment outside and though I had seen him every day since then, I missed him quite a lot.

"But, you are a kid."

I raised a brow. "That's weird considering the way you're holding me right now. You shouldn't hold kids this way. It's very inappropriate," I laughed.

He shook his head at me before planting a soft kiss on my cheek.

"Why the sudden display of affection? What about the complications?" I asked.

"Would you believe me if I said I missed you?"

I laughed. "Even though you see me everyday?"

"You know what I mean, Lea." He hugged me tightly and I smiled before hugging him back. He released me and looked at me. "You need to get ready for school," he told me seriously.

I rolled my eyes and he moved to walk out of my room. I frowned. "You can't just leave me like that," I said.

"Like what?"

I gave him a dumb look before I smiled. He smiled when he realized what I was talking about but he shook his head causing me to frown again. Damn complications. .

"Just one. Pretty please?"

He sighed before walking back over to me. I smiled and he took my face in both of his hands before planting a soft kiss on my lips.

"Is that what you wanted?" he asked me with a smile. I nodded. "Get ready, kid," he said as he quickly walked out of my bedroom door.

"I'm not a kid," I grumbled. I could hear his laugh down the hallway.

I limped over to my closet and picked out an outfit: a navy blue and white tank top, a light wash jean jacket, black jeans and a pair of grey wedged sneakers. After I gathered up my things, I carefully walked across the hall and into the bathroom to shower.

Once I was finished with my shower I did my make up and hair. That process took me about forty five minutes. I finally put on my clothes and my shoes before limping back over to my room. I grabbed my slightly heavy school bag and draped it over my shoulder before grabbing my crutches. My knee was nearly healed but I still couldn't walk very well. Ratchet had insisted I continue to use them until I gained the mobility in my knee back.
