Cloud and I made it into our room, and expectantly there was only one bed

Cloud and I made it into our room, and expectantly there was only one bed. Cloud closes the door behind me. "I'll take the floor," Cloud says, taking a seat on the ground next to the door. I frown at him. Is he crazy? The floor's hard and uncomfortable! Even though Elmyra told us to leave in the middle of the night - an hour of sleeping wouldn't hurt. Oh yeah! I almost forgot to tell Cloud that Elmyra wanted us to leave at night! "Cloud?" I say, squatting beside him. "Yeah?" he responds.

"Elmyra told us to leave-" Cloud cuts me off saying, "Leave at night. She also told me the same thing."

"Ah," I nod. "Why aren't you taking the bed?" Cloud frowns, realizing that I don't want too.

"Because I feel bad that you'll be sitting on the cold hard ground," I frown back at Cloud. I take a seat next to Cloud as he angrily argues, "I'm used to it, it's a SOLDIER thing."

"It may be, but if you're going to be sleeping on the ground then so will I!" I hold my head high, not budging one bit. "You're so stubborn . . ." Cloud shakes his head, giving up with arguing. "Don't complain to me when your back starts hurting." Cloud leans his head back into the wall closing his tired eyes as I do the same . . .

A white void stands before me as I'm floating endlessly. The sounds of children come running past me. "You're it!" a little boy yells. "You're so slow!" The sound of laughter between two kids . . . bother me. "I hate you! You're going too fast!" the angry little girl shouts at the boy. The little boy's pace slows down to a stop for the little girl.

A scene in front of me plays out. I see two small figures of children standing, but can't see their faces clearly. The boy stands still, as the little girl catches up to him.

"Do . . . you really hate . . . me?" the boy murmurs, fiddling with his fingers. The fun, happy mood is now shielded away with a sheet of sadness. The little girl huffs a tired breath as she stands in front of the boy. "No! I don't hate you! I like you a lot-"

"But why did you say you hate me -" The girl cuts the boy off, shouting, "Because you're too fast! When we become grown-ups, you'll grow up really fast and you will leave me! Just like how I can't catch up to you now!" The girl sniffles, as her face comes bursting with tears. The boy doesn't say anything, as he pulls the girl into a tight hug.

"I won't leave you! Ever!" the boy exclaims, patting the crying girl's back.

"I promise I'll never leave you, even when we're grown-ups!"

The little girl sniffles, looking at the boy in the eyes. "Promise?" the little girl cries. "I promise." the little boy nods. "I promise to hold your hand now, and never let go - that's how I won't leave you!" My dream ends as the scene with the boy and girl drift away from me. I slowly awake to Cloud lightly tapping my shoulder.

"Celeste?" Cloud lightly shakes my shoulder. "Time to wake up." I whip my head up as my eyes open to see Cloud's face inches away from mine! He sure has some pretty features!

"L-let's go," Cloud flusters, quickly getting up. He holds out a hand for me as I quickly take it. "Y-Yeah," I mutter, still flustered about Cloud's facial features. Cloud quietly opens the door to our room and pokes a head out to see if Aerith's door was open. "Coast's clear."

Cloud tiptoes out of the room first as I follow behind him. As I'm sneaking, I realize that the ground has so much clutter! Did Aerith purposefully put these things out!? Luckily we sneak without any problems as the two of us make it downstairs. We find Elmyra sitting at the dining table waiting.

"You're leaving?" Elmyra asks, her arms crossed over her chest

"You're leaving?" Elmyra asks, her arms crossed over her chest. "How do we get to Sector 7?" Cloud asks, dodging Elmyra's question.

"It's simple enough. Just cut through Sector 6," Elmyra answers. "It isn't exactly safe, but the two of you should be okay, seeing as you're a SOLDIER and you're . . ." Elmyra's voice falters trying to think of what I really am.

"Mercenary," I answer for her. "Was one," Cloud answers for his half. "Promise me, you'll never talk to Aerith again," Elmyra tells us. "Please."

"You got it," Cloud answers, as the two of us walk to the front door. Cloud opens the door and gestures for me to leave first. "Thank you," Elmyra says before the two of us leave the house. We make our way to the center of Sector 5 Slums and continuing on. At night the streets of Sector 5 Slums are vacant. If anything there's probably just a few people at most.

"Do hate it?" I raise my arms to the back of my head, as I lean my head back. "Hate?" Cloud gives me a questionable look, not understanding what I mean.

"Hate that Elmyra kicked us out," I say, more in-depth. "Not really. She's Aerith's mother, and if she wants us out, all we can do is respect her wishes," Cloud shrugs.

"My, what a wise answer!" I clap my hands together. "Especially coming from you, dear Cloud!" Cloud sneers at my response. "What about you?" he asks me.

"I agree with you, a hundred percent!" I give Cloud a thumbs up as I'm walking side by side with him "If Elmyra wishes us gone, all I can do is respect that." The cool night breeze flows past us as we continue walking. Suddenly a question pops into my head. One that I've been meaning to ask Cloud, especially now since we're alone. "Cloud?" I glance at him. "Yeah?" he responds. His eyes meeting mine.

"I've been meaning to ask, but where did you get that sword?"
