I make haste for the 70th floor of this wrenched building. I have to make it to Barret before it's too late! I jump on the elevator, and punched the button to the 70th floor. I take a moment to catch my breath, but once the elevator comes to a stop, I jump out, running as if my life was on the line, but in reality, that life was friend's. A friend that I needed to protect.

The elevator doors open as my heart beats loudly through my ears as I see Sephiroth already stab President Shinra. With President Shinra's lifeless body falling aside, Barret yells, "You son of a bitch!!"
My feet take off to Barret, screaming his name. "Barret!!" Hearing his name come out of my mouth, adverts his attention from Sephiroth.
"Celeste-"
In a split second, everything around me slows down in slow motion. Using this chance, I use all my strength to push Barret out of the way as I take his stead. Barret stumbles, falling and hits his head on the nearby stairs.
Sephiroth's sword plunges into my chest, knocking the wind out of me. Blood seeps through my clothes as even more blood drips on to the floor. My eyes slowly move upward to Sephiroth's face; eyes widened in fear . . . ?
