I'm sitting in a Shinra helicopter beside the Rufus Shinra. Just finding out that, that man was Rufus Shinra nearly made me faint. I had expected the son of President Shinra to be some bratty CEO's son, but in reality he was insanely hot.
His pet Darkstar sits beside it's owner as Reno and Rude shoot down an Avalanche helicopter, taking down Cloud and the others' escape. I glare at Rufus' dog who seemed not fond of me as it stares at me. "Tell your stupid dog to stop glaring at me. Gives me the chills."
"Ohh . . ." Reno laughs. "She told you boss."
"Not a fan of dogs?" Rufus asks, rubbing Darkstar's head affectionately.
"That thing looks like it wants to bite my head off," I point at Darkstar, who was acting all innocent.
"Darkstar . . ." Rufus says the creature's name. I sigh in relief thinking Rufus would tell his dog to stop glaring at me but turns out, Rufus was just being a dick. "Continue staring at Celeste."
I scoff at Rufus but then I remember that Rufus had said we were friends before. "What was that about? We were friends?"
"Not necessarily friends, when all we did was get into fights," Rufus casually answers.
"Enemies?" I suggest.
"So-so," Rufus agrees. "But at the end of the day, it was past news."
"But I have no memory of meeting you," I frown.
"Tseng's filled me in that you got memory loss," Rufus tells me. "Hmm . . ."
"What is it?" My eyebrows slightly furrow at Rufus' sudden quietness.
"Nothing, nothing," Rufus shakes his head. "Just thinking about what you told me long ago."
"What was it? Was it something bad?" I ask.
"Haha," Rufus releases a slightly laugh. "No, it was a childish wish of yours."
"Wish? What, did I wish to be a princess?" I mock Rufus' absurd words.
"Of course not, yet I do believe you somehow predicted all the unfortunate events that would happen years later . . ." Rufus' meet mine, in a serious manner.
