20 ) Race To The Pillar

"Why did I just apologize?"

I stare at my hands as my tears had dried up. I look up in the sky to see white orbs flying blissfully. The little ghost I had met earlier appears in front of me. He slowly floats to me, as if wanting comfort of some sort. I automatically hold out my hands for a hug, and the ghost swoops in. The warm fuzzy feeling in me grows, as I've hugged the little ghost.

"Take care . . ." My lips move on their own without me realizing. "We'll meet again one day . . ." 

I break away from the hug as I registered what I said. What am I saying? I watch as the little ghost do a blissful circle around me, then floating away into the night sky, with its friends. I smile, watching the little ghost go, but my gaze then falls onto my hands. "What is wrong with me?" I ask myself. But my thoughts don't last long when in the distance, I hear a helicopter soar by - heading in the direction of Sector 7. "Cloud!" I remember about my job protecting him. "I'm coming!!" I bolt in the direction of the helicopter.

Location: Sector 7 - Undercity Station
Time: 3:17 A.M.

I pant, putting my hands on knees and taking a breather. "Where are . . . they?" 

I continue on pass the station and towards Sector 7's pillar. I stop, staring in horror at the pillar with so many people defending it. My eyes fall on Tifa and Aerith who were standing beside a plump guy with black hair held back with a red bandana - he seemed injured as Aerith helps him up. 

"I can't stay here," Tifa tells Aerith and the black haired guy. "I've got to help the others."

Aerith nods. "Follow your heart," she smiles at Tifa. Tifa's about to run of when she turns around and faces Aerith. "There's a bar in the center of town - Seventh Heaven," Tifa explains. "I need you to-"

"Get Marlene to safety right?" Aerith finishes Tifa's request.
