Metroid: Samus Begins

Mission Complete

Samus blasted her way through another wall and jumped down into a docking hanger. There was a single fighter docked!  She desperately ran toward it. She was finally getting off this planet !  She ran up the ramp and into the alien vessel. She sat in the cockpit chair and took a second to figure out the controls. The fighter lifted off the ground with the ramp still open , it crashed down on its side as she tried to pull up again and close the hatch.  She escaped the hanger with some difficulty. She soon saw that the frigate was rising in the air, it was taking off and if she didn't act quickly the metroids would be taken off world! She piloted the fighter toward the back of the frigate and hovered in the air 16 feet away from the ships engines and shot the fighter's cannons which sent 6 torpedo like projectiles into the frigates engines . They exploded with great intensity and the explosions tore through the rest of the frigate rapidly . Samus flew up and away as the exploding wreck descended back toward the ground and was completely obliterated in the blast that followed.  She flew up into space yet again hoping this is the last time she would be on this planet for a while. There were a few other ships flying around but they took no notice as she zoomed past them and away into deep space. She sent a transmission to the federation to let them know of her arrival and that she was on a pirate fighter .

- Dozens of soldiers lined the sides of the walkway as the space pirate fighter entered the docking bay. Samus stepped out from underneath, utterly relieved that it was all over. Admiral Dane walked down toward her as all the soldiers saluted. 
"I don't say this soften Samus but I sure am impressed. And you seem to have made good use of your mission aswell . Only you would be able to go into enemy territory and come out with all new wesponry" he joked while eying the Varia suit in awe.
"It's a long story Admiral, needless to say the mission was completed. Ridley and Kraid are dead , Mother Brain is no longer a threat and the metroids have been eliminated.  It turns out the pirates were duplicating them and even tried to take them off the planet but I destroyed their main transport. If any have made it out I doubt there's many of them " Samus declared.

"Excellent work Samus. I knew you could do it" he turned away then paused . "You know your always welcome to come back to us. The galactic federation could most certainly use your unrivalled assistance once again and I'm sure your fellow soldiers would be happy to see you again "
"I appreciate the offer Admiral but my future isn't with the federation. I learned a lot from my time with commander malkovich but I don't want to go back to that life. My future is as a bounty hunter . .... give him my regards" she hesitantly added.

Admiral Dane nodded and retrieved a silver and green card from his back pocket . "For your efforts . Good luck on your future endeavours bounty hunter " he saluted and handed the card over to her.   70 million credits as she had requested .  With that amount she wouldn't even need to work ever again. But she speculated a good amount of that would go to the construction of a new gunship for her.  And so Samus Aran turned away from Admiral Dane and saluted each of the soldiers around her as she walked back to the fighter.  She deactivated her Varia suit and strolled back to the fighter with her award in hand.  She was no longer the same person she was when she set out on this bounty. She overcame past traumas strengthened her will and became all the more powerful for it.  She was finally ready to embrace her future and whatever fate awaited her in the vast regions of space.

The pirate fighter took off from the GFS Olympus and flew away from it as she input coordinates into the computer for a space station which serves as a makeshift colony for various different species. This was a place she liked to visit when she needed down time and now more than ever she needed that. She had no idea where she would go from there, perhaps she'd receive a bounty from there . All she knew was that options were more open to her now more than ever after what she had just been through.   When she had first started her career she had no idea where she would go or if she would even receive work and that was similar to the feeling she had now. Except this time she had a more adventurous feeling about what the future held for her.

And with that final thought the ship flew off, becoming a blip in the sky and she was gone.
