Chapter 10
Siren felt a pang of pain right across the side of her chest. Her exhausted breathes and tired body synchronised with her aching head along with her throbbing chest. Fatigue quickly immersed all over her when she tried to open her weary eyes yet no matter how hard she tried exhaustion won against her and slowly drowned Siren to sleep.
Her sleep however was the most peaceful rest she had ever since her parents were taken away. She hasn't noticed the extreme exhausted she felt when her heart beated slowly and her head resting, ready to doze off. She slowly placed herself into a comfortable position and felt the coldness of the metal floor as it touched her sore body when she lay against it.
An Image flashed across her mind and showed a warm picture of the bright sun shining down the green fields below as the flowers bloomed brightly, delighted to be showered with dazzling light. Colours radiated across the fields showing hints of blue, yellow and pink across the whole meadow. If you look close enough you could see the tiny little droplets of clear water sitting on top of the beautiful blossoms. It was interesting to see the colourful birds flying throughout the place which made the whole scene look perfect. It reminded Siren so much of her dream Magnificent.
It looked so real that Siren felt the sudden urge to go near it. She walked slowly, surprised to see she could. Steadily, she reached a hand to touch the beautiful picture and felt the warmness of the bright sun gleaming across her snow white arm. Just before she was going through it, the once warm bright sun turned into scorching heat and burned the green fields below. Smoke hovered around the air as Siren quickly took of her burned arm and rubbed it softly to relieve the stinging pain. She watched across her as the beautiful picture was now engulfed with inferno flames.
The fire was slowly building outside the picture and spread around rapidly flooding everything that's left unburnt. Soon enough the burning flames suddenly stopped around her scarlet feet and left an unburnt mark around her. The suffocating odour of black smoke rise up from the flames that it made Siren's head dizzy and her vision blurry from all the tears. To remove the smothering smell, she quickly covered her nose. She watched in horror, surprised how something this beautiful could be destroyed so quickly.
A ball of inferno came jolting out from the picture, quickly towards Siren. On impulse, she swiftly swung her arms in front of her face to protect her from the scorching heat.
Her eyes suddenly jolted open and revealed blurred sights of white clothed people, covered with surgical masks. Radiating lights came out from the circular disks hanged above the ceiling. She looked around the hazy place and saw vague sights of sterile instruments sitting on top of a stainless steel table. Beside her was a small monitor screen of her beating pulse as it made a short beeping sound. Antiseptic quickly passed through her nose as she inhaled slowly for air.
"She has an interesting sense of imagination, so unique then those around Zin. She could vividly see and feel colours around her as if she has knowledge of what Zianada's like before Andromeia existed."
An indistinct view of a man wearing a white suit explained to a group of white dressed people. He held a tall pointing stick which he stroked roughly across a wooden black board. Siren squinted trying to clear away the blurred sight. The blackboard showed a huge illustration of a brain shown front to back for the viewers to see. The faces of the observing people looked so interested as they jotted on their small notepad.
