shinobu + giyuu oneshots

˚✧⁎ ⁺˳✧༚ daily life ⁎⁺˳✧༚˚✧

a/n: This is a everyday look into Shinobu and Giyu's life living together, so there's no dialogue. This is inspired off the korean couple youtube channel, Cozy Day! (Video is above the title, I highly recommend you check them out!) They live a very simple lifestyle and I can see the same for Giyu and Shinobu. Enjoy!

Giyu usually is the first one to wake up and is always careful not to disturb Shinobu because she's a light sleeper. He goes into their bathroom and brushes his teeth, washes his face, and ties up his hair. When he's done he'll go into the kitchen. There, he makes coffee for himself while putting water into the kettle to make tea for Shinobu. While waiting for his coffee to be done, he'll scroll through emails, checking to see if he's missed anything important. Even when the coffee is done and in a cup he continues to look through emails and news. When he decides that he's up to date, he'll move on to making breakfast for the two of them. Now is the time Shinobu gets out of bed, stretching her arms and legs as she does so. She heads to the kitchen to see what Giyu is up to then heads to the bathroom doing the same things as Giyu. Once she's done she heads back into the kitchen where the kettle is steaming for the fire to be turned off. She watches she he makes her tea. Shinobu walks over to Giyu, thanking him for making breakfast and tea for her and then gives him a quick peck on the lips. She offers to help him with the rest, but he refuses. With that she grabs her tea and sits at their dining table. When he's done with the cooking, he plates it on for them and walks over to the table. He fills her in in all the current news and about what he has to do that day, she's silently listens. Once he's done, she fills him in on what she has to do that day. They talk about any upcoming events like birthdays, today they discussed Mitsuri's upcoming baby shower along with what gifts to buy the soon to be mother. When both of them are done eating, they clean dishes together, one person takes the cups and silverware while the other does plates and bowls. Afterwards they get dressed for work, both very simple clothing choices. Afterwards they get their bags and shoes on and head out the doors. They get into their car as Giyu drives her to the Pharmacy she works at before driving himself to the police station. Before she ever gets out of the car they quickly kiss and exchange "love you"s. Shinobu tells her good mornings to her older sister who's the head pharmacist and Giyu says hi to all his coworkers. They work their job, Shinobu choosing the best medicine for her patients, while Giyu deals with cases and accidents. They text each other, updating on when they eat or on break, and small things like to pick up strawberries on the way home. Shinobu's shift ends first and her older sister drives her to their home and drops her off. They exchange goodbyes and Shinobu watches her sister's car get smaller and smaller in the distance before heading inside. Once inside she changes out of her work clothes, showers, and into some house-wear. She cleans anything that is dirty or out of place. When she's done, she calls Mitsuri, checking up on her health and the life inside her. The two talk for around an hour before hanging up. She texts Kanao after to see if she's okay at college with Aoi. Giyu on the other hand just ended his shift, much later than his lover. He drives to the supermarket to pick up the strawberries Shinobu requested. Once done, he continues to go home. When he opens the door he's greeted with a "welcome home" from the most beautiful (and annoying) butterfly he's ever seen. He smiles and hugs her before going to take his own shower. Shinobu takes the time that he's showering to make dinner for the two of them. When he's done he heads over to her and puts his head on her shoulder as he just watches her cook. When she's done, they both prepare the table and eat. They talk about anything new they heard and how their days went. They wash their dishes together and while Giyu goes and reads a bit, Shinobu takes the strawberries and starts to make strawberry milk. When they're both done with their things they sit on the sofa, her between his legs and watch any new movie or drama. When it's done, the brush their teeth and get into bed. Cuddling and talking about the small things in life before getting some rest in the comfort of the other's arms.

a/n: This isn't really a plot driven oneshot and I'm sorry, I really wanted something simple that showed their lives as adults without making it about just the small moments, but about how they love and share their lives together. They're both very simple people, so I imagine they live very simple lives. Again I write these for my own enjoyment, so please don't critique me too harshly. Sending love from me to you!
