a/n: The title is the name of the song "Ms. A-Chu" by Tia Ray. Also the name A-Chu is supposed to be read as 'Ah-Chu' so yeah, I highly recommend you listen to the song at the same time as reading it.

Giyu was a curious child, wandered off from time to time from his sister, never for too long though. One day he'd wander a bit farther and found a village. There wasn't many people, but the people seemed happy. He looked around wondering who were these people and how did they live.

He watched as they got their water out of the well, planted rice, bonfires in the afternoon. As he was walking towards the outskirts of the village, he saw a little girl playing in the grass by herself. He walked over, she was making flower crowns for herself. He towered over the young girl sitting, casting his shadow over her. She looked up, her sparkling violet eyes sparkling. "What are you doing?" He kept looking at the girl, her eyes captured him. "Making flower crowns for my sister, want to help?" She smiled at him. "It's fine, I have to get home, talk to you next time?" Her eyes widened, twinkling. "Really? You'd come back to play with me?" "Yeah sure." "Great! Your name?" She never had many kids to play with other than her sister. "Tomioka Giyu, what about you?" She looked hesitant "Um, A-Chu." "Okay A-Chu I'll see you sometime soon." He walked back to his home watching her wave at him.

It was like this for a few months, he'd visit once a week and find her in the grass playing with flowers and looking at the plants. Her violet eyes sparkling every time she saw him, wearing a light violet yukata that matched everything about her. They'd talk and play for hours, it was always fun even though Giyu would often get scolded by his older sister when he'd return home. It didn't matter, it was fun with A-Chu. They'd watch the moon together, the wind around the village smelled like her, she always smelled like flowers. They always embraced the moon together.

One day he came to their usual meeting place, but she wasn't there. He walked around the village trying to find her. It wasn't especially big, so it should've been easy, but no luck. "Have you seen a girl by the name of A-Chu?" He'd ask over and over again, they all told him they had no idea who he was talking about or that there never was a girl named A-Chu living in the village. He'd go to the village everyday of that week to see if A-Chu was there and every time, no. He was very puzzled on where she went.

Even after time passed, he would question if he'd imagined all of it, but he knew for a fact that he saw those eyes of hers. Time kept spacing out those happy days to his present, his sister and best friend had been killed by a demon and there isn't anything he can do to change it. He'd become the substitute water pillar knowing very well it belonged to Sabito.

Many nights he'd look up at the sky and just think, think about his past, his present, and his future. He'd think of his beautiful sister, his brave best friend, and the little girl with sparkling eyes. Not a day passed where he didn't not think about her. She seemed so far and out of reach now. He always wondered if he did something wrong for her stop playing with him. Everything seemed to go south, the people he enjoyed would disappear from his life in an instant and all he could wonder was if he'd done something.

He'd look at bonfires and be reminded of that little village near his childhood home, the place where he first met A-Chu. The gentle winds never took his pain and sorrows away with them.  The moon made him think of the countless times they'd share, looking at the stars, the moon, each other. "Gentle wind at night, can you take away my sorrow please?" He'd whisper from the rooftop. "Where are you now? Can you still remember how I look from the past?" Talking to the winds. Nothing ever made sense when it came to her. "The wind kisses as it passes, just made me miss you overwhelmingly more, A-Chu..."

There was a hashira meeting happening and so he had to attend. He met up with his fellow pillars and set down quietly as they waited for Oyakata-sama. He soon appeared with his two eldest daughters by his side. "We have a new hashira that will join you guys, she's the younger sister of former Flower Hashira, Kocho Kanae." Stepped out a girl with black hair with purple ends, a short stature, and a smile. "Hello fellow pillars, I'm Kocho Shinobu, the Insect Hashira, I hope to get along with you guys." Never breaking her smile the entire time. Giyu felt something extremely familiar with her, but maybe it was his regrets eating at him bit by bit. "I will leave you guys with the formal introductions. Please talk amongst yourselves" and he that he returned into his home with his daughters.
