-Rose's POV-

I walked in the mall with my hand intertwined with Owens. His hands were clammy and I figured it was because he had anxiety from being in a crowded place. I led him to a store that had clothes that were acceptable for a party.

"We'll go here first. See if I can find anything and then we will get you some nice ass clothes." I told him with a smile. I looked up at him and he seemed out of it. "You okay?" I waved my hand in his face.

"Yeah yeah. I was just thinking about the party." He admitted.

"It'll be fine." I reassured him. "You and I are gonna dance the night away and drink a little bit and then go back to yours." I smiled a huge smile at him.

He smiled back and said 'okay' and then we went into the store.

-Owen's POV-

My hand was clammy as hell and it was because she was holding it. I was so tempted to pull it away since I was one-hundred percent sure she had noticed, but what if she took it badly and then never tried to hold my hand again? So, I decided to pretend like they weren't clammy at all.

We walked into a store that had all kinds of clothes for women. "Where do we start?" She asked me.

"I-I don't know..." I said. I was overwhelmed. I'd usually shop at small shops that were scattered around town. The mall was something I wasn't accustomed to.

"Let's go look at the dresses." She said and pulled me towards the dresses with her. I watched her as she let go of my hand and wiped it on her shirt. She looked up at me and noticed my facial expression, which was a look of embarrassment.

"It's okay. I get anxious in crowded places too." She said.

Anxious? Did she think I had anxiety?

Just play along with it. "Oh yeah. I just can't deal with the pressure of being out in public. It makes me feel anxious as hell." I said. I mentally facepalmed at how stupid I sounded. I could've just said 'same' like any normal person. She shook her head at me.

"Wanna pick out a few dresses for me?" She asked me with a chuckle.

"Uh. Sure." I shrugged. "Be aware I'm not the best at clothes as you can see." I signaled towards my plain black T-shirt and my normal jeans. She chuckled at me and shrugged.

"That's fine." She smiled at me. We began looking through clothes. I didn't have a clue what to look for, I had grabbed a random colorful striped dress. It looked nice. I held it in my arm and then went to another rack. She followed me to the rack I was at. She was so short that I could barely see her head over the rack. I silently chuckled to myself. She must of heard me because she stood on her tippy toes to look at what I was laughing at. That made me laugh even more.
