When It Rains

Chapter 03

NILAGAY NI SERENITY ang isang folder sa mesa ng guro nila sa classroom habang yung iba ay nagpapaprint pa. It was their assignment for the subject 'Restaurant Management'. Unlike others, she is most likely to finish an assignment immediately. May iba naman na tapos na rin, pero halos lahat ay nagpapaprint pa lang.

Hindi naman niya masisisi ang mga ito kung bakit ngayon lang kumilos. Maliban sa subject na ito, naghahabol rin sila sa ibang requirements na last sem pa binigay.

College sucks but you still have to bear it and learn the proper time management.

The first subject for the morning was done and they are now currently waiting for the second one. Unknowingly, she feel excited at the thought of seeing him. She wants to see his face and hear his voice again.

She knows it's not good but she can't help it. She never expects herself missing someone aside from her family. That is just so...unreal. Guro niya ito at estudyante siya. Pero wala naman sigurong masama sa paghanga, 'di ba?

Girls can be attracted to any one they like, so why can't she like her Professor? It's not like she's going to flirt him or something. Simple crush lang naman.

Ilang minuto matapos makarating ng mga kaklase niya ay dumating si Sir Montecillo. Nakapolo itong puti at gray na jeans tapos pinaresan ng puting sneakers.

She silently cuss. He look so handsome and attractive. Hindi siya masyadong pumupuri ng lalaki pero hindi niya mapigilan ang kan'yang sarili. He slay in simple outfit and he looks more hot on it.

Outside, she looks calm and uninterested. But inside, she's drooling. She wanted to eye him from head to toe and stare at his muscular body. But instead of doing that, she just stare at his face.

Bakit ba napakagwapo nito? Matangos na ilong, makapal na kilay, may kapulahang labi at napakagandang ngiti. Parang nang-aakit iyon. Plus his hair is undercut style that added points to his handsomeness.

She never, ever stare like this to a man. Never in her life before. Wala rin naman kasi siyang interes sa kahit kaninong lalaki. But it became different when she saw his very handsome professor.

Normal pa ba 'to? Her heart was pounding like crazy and she can't help but to smile.

Ano bang nangyayari sa kan'ya?

"Ms. Mendoza?"

Napakurap-kurap siya nang marinig na tinawag ang kan'yang apelyido. Her confusion lasts only for seconds when she noticed that her classmates were looking at her, oddly.

Then she came to look at her professor who's also staring at her. Palihim siyang napalunok. "Are you okay, Ms. Mendoza? You're dozing off. If you don't feel like listening to my class, you can go out."

Napaayos siya ng upo at tumikhim ng sadya. "I apologize." Aniya sa mababang boses pero sapat na upang marinig nila.

"Pay attention." Istriktong sambit nito at yumuko sa record book. Before he continued the attendance, she saw the corner of his lips tugged up. Pero hindi nagtagal ay naging seyoso muli ang ekspresyon nito sa mukha.

O-okay? What was that for?

Napabuntong hininga nalang siya at yumuko dahil sa kahihiyan. They caught her staring at him. Shit? Parang gusto niyang magpalamon sa lupa.

Nakakahiya!

She will never do that! Baka kung anong isipin ng mga kaklase niya. Lalo na ng guro niya. Bakit ba kasi hindi niya namalayan ang nangyayari sa paligid? Goodness. How can she be too dumb to notice it?

"Lahat ba nakapagpasa?" Tanong nito sabay lagay ng kamay sa mga folder na nagkakapatong-patong habang tinitingnan kami isa-isa.

"Yes, Sir!" Sabay-sabay na sagot ng mga kaklase niya maliban sa kan'ya. She's still embarrassed. Dang it.
