TONI POV:

"Dad? Can we talk?" I ask quietly. I walk into the kitchen. He nods. "Promise me you won't feel anything different about me?" He nods. I sit down. "I have a girlfriend. I'm gay." I whisper. "I know." He says quietly. "I'm sorry what?" He smiles. "You own so many flannels I don't know if they are mine or yours." I smile. "I'm not 100% ok with it." He says honestly. "But it's only because I don't really know enough, but I'm gonna learn and I'm gonna support you no matter what. But you have to be patient with my ignorance." I smile. "Yeah of course." He gets up. "Come here." I get up and he pulls me into a hug. "I love you no matter what." He whispers. "Can you not tell mom though? I'm want to tell her when I'm ready." He nods. "It's not my story to tell." He whispers. "So you have a girlfriend?" I nod. "We're not that serious though. I don't know how long it'll last." I say quietly.

Cheryl pulls away. "What?" I ask quietly. "I'm not ready." She whispers. "It's not a big deal." I say. "I'm not pressuring you or anything! I just- I really don't get the hype around the whole losing your virginity thing." I say as she gets up. "I do want to have sex with you. I'm just not ready." I nod. "Of course. Just know, when you're ready I am." She smiles. "Thank you." She kisses me. "Of course." I smile as she goes into the bathroom. I lie back down and sigh. I'm kinda glad she doesn't want to have sex. Like I'm not ready to go that far with her. I want to have sex with her! I'm just not ready. I don't really get the whole hype around losing your virginity, I honestly think it's a way so slut shame woman into haven't sex and a trophy for guys. Cheryl and I have only been dating for a few weeks now and I want to make sure I actually love her before I go that far. "I came out to my dad." I say as she comes in. "And?" I pull my girlfriend close. "He ok with it." She smiles. "So... do I have to like meet your family now?" She ask awkwardly. "No! I haven't come out to my mom." I look at her and smile. "What?" She ask blushing. "You're so beautiful." I whisper. "I- I have something for you." I say grabbing my bag. "I know you lost the earrings you're brother bought you before he died. I couldn't get the ones you lost but they are the same company and stone and all the fancy stuff." I hand the box to her. She looks at me in shock. "Toni, you didn't have to." She whispers. "It's honestly all I wanted for my birthday. That's why I asked for only money and found some weird ways to earn a few bucks." She looks at me. "Please say you weren't selling drugs?" I shake my head. "No! But I did have to eat the biggest burger ever!" I smile. "You almost had a heart attack for me?" I nod. "I know how much the earring meant to you." She puts them on. "You're the sweetest person I've ever met." She whispers. "You can wear them cheering me on at the game tomorrow." I suggest. "I will." I kiss her. "Also I'm sorry if you ever felt pressured to have sex with me. It's just I don't really see the big deal about it. I want to if you want to, if you never want to, I'll be ok. You know how I am about it." She smiles. "You're emotionally attracted to me, not sexually because the thought of sex doesn't make you feel anything special. I know, you're my amazing asexual girlfriend who's the gayest of the gays." She smiles. "Does your dad know about that?" She ask quietly. I look down. "I just said that I was gay, I don't want to confuse him and honestly he doesn't need to know about our sex life." She smiles and rubs my cheek. "True. But if and went you're ready." I nod. "I'm gonna come out to my mom soon. I just need to help my dad rap his head around it. He's not happy about it, but he's supportive." I smile. She kisses me. "I want you to meet Nana Rose." She whispers. I nod. "Some how you've avoided her." I smile.

"I'm gonna shit my pants." I whisper to myself. "What's the occasion?" I turn to my mom. "Ahh!" I panic for a second. "I'm having dinner... with Cheryl and her Nana." I say awkwardly. "Who's Cheryl?" She smiles. I think for a second. It's now or never. "My girlfriend." I say slowly. She sits down and takes a deep breath. "Mom? Please say something." I panic. "Do you like guys?" I shake my head. "Probably best, guys are annoying." She smiles. "I'm gonna love you no matter what." She whispers. "Go! Have fun. Just don't embarrass yourself! And I would like to meet Cheryl one day!" I smile. "Of course."
