VERONICA POV:
I walk out of my room really hungover. I look and see Cheryl on the watching tv and eating something. "What time is it?" I ask. She looks at her watch. "5. Toni's with her reading specialist, I don't really know when she's gonna be back so I just found some leftovers that didn't make me want to vomit." She explains. "Is there coffee?" I ask quietly. "No, but you can make some. I wouldn't mind having a cup."
Cheryl says. The door opens and Toni slowly walks in. "How was your reading thing?" I ask quietly. She shrugs and lies on the couch next to Cheryl. "I was hungover for the first half of the season so that was my teachers first impression of me." She says talking her shoes off. "I didn't even realize I go that drunk!" She says quietly. "Is someone gonna make coffee?" She sits up. "Yeah give me a minute."Toni and I are sitting in class. She's obviously not paying attention. "Can you at least pretend to pay attention?" I ask her. She look at me. "I am." She whispers. "What are we learning about?" I ask quietly. "Ahh... I don't know." She says quietly. I pat her back. "Ok, class is over get out!" We get up and go home. "Have you talked to Fangs?" I ask her. "No, he's not answering any of my text or calls, but I've talked to my mom and he's still in pieces." She whispers. "How's you're dad doing?" I ask concerned. "He's fine. He didn't really love his mom so it wasn't like him and my mom. He loves Fangs though. I don't really know." She explains. I park the car and we go up to our apartment.
TONI POV:
I walk into the bedroom. "You ok?" Cheryl ask quietly. "I couldn't focus at all in classes." I whisper before plopping on the bed. She rubs my back. "I'm sorry." I look at her. "Cheryl?" I sit up. She nods. "What's up?" She smiles. "I don't know if I can keeping going to college." I whisper. "You have 2 more years. You can do it. I'm here to help, Veronica is here to help, your finally getting help my a professional." I look at her. "What's more important? You playing basketball professionally or dropping out of college?" She ask quietly. I take a deep breath. "But I don't know how much longer I can go! I might not be able to graduate!" I whisper. "We'll help!" I nod. I lean into her. "You need a hair cut." She says playing with my hair. "I was think about cutting it short." I say quietly. "My hair is a lot to handle so it might be easier to handle." I whisper. "As long as you keep some of the pink." I look at her. "Are you telling me how to look?" I ask jokingly. She smiles. "No, but I like the pink. It's hot." I smile and kiss her. "You guys are gross." We look and see Veronica. "Sorry, do you have any idea what you guys want for dinner?" She ask. "No." I say quietly. "Toni and I are going out tonight so you're on your own." I look at Cheryl. "We are?" I ask. "Yeah I told you this a week ago." I nod. "Cool." I smile.
Cheryl and I walk into the diner. "This place isn't Pops." I whisper. "Yeah but it's close." We sit down on one side of the booth. "Not really." I whisper. "Toni!" She hits my shoulder. "Sorry. Can we talk about kids?" I ask quietly. "Do you want a kid?" I nod. "Not right now. It after college and once our lives settle down a little." I whisper. She smiles. "How do you want to have a kid?" She ask. "Well, I really don't want to have the kid. But if you don't want to or can't physically have the kid I can." I explain. "What about you?" I ask quietly. "I think we should adopt. I know that's kinda coming out of left field, but we're both kinda fucked up and with our genes that kid is bound to be fucked up too. At least with a kid that's adopted its not our fault if that kid has similar issues. Also I don't feel like giving birth and they're kids without families we shouldn't bring another kid into the world when we can give a kid a home and family." She explains. I smile. "I don't hate that. But we don't have any money and adoption is really expensive." I whisper. "We'll figure it out." I nod and kiss her.
