Aiden's POV
"Hello?" I answered the phone once I saw Matt's name pop up.
"Aww do you miss me that bad, Aiden-poo?" He cooed at the phone, I only rolled my eyes. I'll admit I picked up the phone faster than I usually do whenever Matt calls. But I just can't help it, I don't know why but I've been waiting for Matt to call since he left. A large part of me was very nervous and giddy for some reason.
"How's the meeting going for Mrs. Ansen?" The old lady that we've been talking to for months just for her space in the small town has been a tough cookie to crack. She was extremely stubborn. But her place had the best reception and a perfect place to overlook most of the town.
"Uh—Oh yeah she didn't want to..." His voice trailed off. "Oh yeah? Well she sounded content the last time I spoke to her." I said gruffly. I was bluffing but I knew that he was lying to me.
"Fine. Yeah she accepted... But she told me she wanted to speak to you in person." I pursed my lips, I felt as if he was lying again but my mouth started moving before my brain did.
"Fine, I'll fix up a flight there first thing tomorrow." I hung up. I immediately face-palm myself as I sighed deeply.
Fuck it.
I typed away on my phone again. I called the pilot for my private jet.
"Hello? Yeah, get me a flight to Brellson Town first thing tomorrow morning."

Olivia's POVI rushed to the cafe again, I was running late because I forgot to get groceries yesterday and Jay didn't like sandwiches to which he threw a tantrum the whole morning. Leila and Jason are unavailable for today since they both need to go home to Leila's mother, she was incredibly ill.
So for today, I had Jay strapped on me, while I ran to work. Jay fell asleep on the bus ride to the cafe since he wore himself out earlier. I'm just glad that I don't have to get nasty glares from people who are getting annoyed by Jay's cries anymore. I've been exhausted all morning, I just kept a positive mind, maybe today won't be too stressful.
__________________I was wrong. The second I got here Sheila, a coworker of mine, shoved a load of dirty plates and told me to handle the register. She told me that she has to run to the back to get more pastries.
I quickly got changed and laid Jay on the bench by the register and got him my backpack to sleep on for the mean time.
The whole day only consisted of me and Sheila run back and forth to serve the customers and handle the orders. Even Lola tried to help out but we insisted that she should just stay with Jay in her office.I hated the fact that our other coworkers thought that it would be a good idea to ask for a day off all at the same time. Our other co workers were all friends and all teenagers, Lola was just an extremely kind soul and they took advantage of that.
We decided to close up for a while, Sheila and I wanted to catch our breath and we were both starving."Olivia, you want anything from the store? I'm going to get something to eat." Sheila asked, gesturing towards the restaurant just a few blocks away. "Sure, can you get me some mac and cheese and a burger." I told her, while digging through my wallet.
"My treat, Livvy. It's been hell before you came." She said, grateful.
"Sheila, I was late, let this be my punishment. I haven't been myself for a while now." I sheepishly smiled. I just took her hand, and gave her my money. "It's my treat for today, you deserved it." I smiled, genuinely this time.
She just nodded and thanked me before running out towards the restaurant.
