AN: this is probably the most cliche chapter I've ever written in so sorry :/ I've edited it as much as I could

My hair now dry, and my sheets are now decorated, darkly themed. But I'm wide awake. There's no chance of me getting any shut eye. And I'm so exhausted. I just want to sleep but I can't. I've been in bed for hours now, it's 2:13am. I feel myself dying inside from all this lack of sleep. Eventually, I decide to just head in the kitchen and watch some Netflix. Once I shut the door of my room, I hear some strange noise... creaking.

Ew, Gray's room is opposite mine. He's got some girl in there, it's just gross to think about, who would want to sleep with an ass like him though? Maybe his only good quality is how good he is in bed then. Yet surprisingly, he helps my Mum bring up my boxes, then talks to me like I'm a pile of shit. I don't get him.

I cuddle myself in the corner of the couch, holding a cushion in between my arms, and switch on some corny rom-coms. About ten minutes in, my alone time is interrupted, by none other by the man already starting to get on my nerves, Gray. I've known him one day and he's made a fantastic impression on me.

I chose to ignore him, hopefully he'll decide to reciprocate that. Luckily, he heads straight to the fridge, most likely for alcohol. The fridge light exposes what he's wearing to me, I can't help but stare. He's shirtless, and incredibly muscular. Now I see why girls agree to sleep with him, he's hot. But he'll never have anyone special because that what he seems to lack in, being a generally nice person, I bet he's not one for being romantic either. I turn back to the TV to focus on that instead.

"Four weddings and a funeral?" He questions what I'm watching.

I just nod, waiting for some mocking to come and punch me in the face.

"Classic."

Eh? No insult, okay then...

"I'm guessin' you can't sleep?" He goes to switch the main light on.

As he does my eyes squint, he's wearing grey joggers, but now all his muscles are visible. Wow, someone likes to hit the gym a lot.

"Yeah." I bluntly answer his question.

He heads back to one of the cupboards, taking out a Baileys bottle. He signals me to sit on one of the high chairs at the counter, and for some reason I choose to oblige. Het gets a glass, and pours the drink into it. He then picks it up and hands it to me, his eyes intensely glaring at me so it felt like I had no choice.

"Drink that, it'll knock you straight out if you down it."

I'm not one of downing alcohol, but if it was going to help me sleep, I was desperate for anything. Baileys was actually one of my favourite drinks, so it wasn't so bad. I chucked it back, not going to lie it burned a little, but I could deal with it.

"Gray!" A woman calls from his room. A couple seconds later we hear the door open and close. A brunette woman, wearing his t-shirt, emerges from the dark and enters the kitchen. At first she didn't notice me as her eyes went straight to the sexy shirtless man, "You woke me up, now you're gonna have to fuck-," she finally spots me, "Oh, em... Julia?"

"Juvia." I correct her. So Gray's told her about me, I'm guessing.

"Juvia." She nods her head, "Oo, baileys." Now her eyes are locked on the alcohol, she takes the cap off and starts downing it straight from the bottle.

"This is Cana. She lives on the floor above." Gray introduces her for me, then grabs a beer and heads back to his room, saying no more.

"We have casual sex, no strings attached." She takes another swig, "So if you want him one day feel free."
