Stuck. Once again.

The past few hours had already been a mixture of dim, brain numbing, confusing, paranoia and relaxation. Never thought that on the night of my date with Lyon, I'd end up on the floor of an elevator with a stoned man who wasn't my date. He'd been rambling on, most of the things he'd be saying I didn't quite catch as he'd stop mid sentence and move onto a new topic.

Yet why the fuck couldn't he stop himself from the thing that struck me the most.

"I love you, Juvia..."

He's high! He didn't mean it! That's what I kept telling myself. Part of me wanted to let those words sink in, and cherish them. Then there's the other. Reject it. Reject him. Whether he means it or not, it's not worth it. You don't share that feeling. If the feeling is anything the most it is, is just a small physical crush. He treated you horribly to begin with, and if you know anything, people don't change.

I was already pissed at the fact that the man I was running away from in the first place took the apartment from me. The rage that boiled my blood when Lyon pulled up to the warmly coloured brick building was still slightly sizzling. Additionally, I would've rather fucked off back to that wine bar with Lyon than have Lucy pull me inside, telling me to keep clear from the trio of chaos (Cana, Natsu and Gray) since someone decided to make a stop on the way to the apartment, and grab some of the devils lettuce.

Gray's head was once more resting on my chest. My fingers swept through his raven hair, as he continued to go on and on about any thought that crossed his mind. His hands tugged my dress, his lips would trail from my neck, to my jaw and he'd whisper complete shit in my ear.

It all began when Lyon and I first entered the apartment. Gray, when he spotted us, immediately stumbled over to Lyon, hugged him tightly, and when he locked eyes with me, he dropped his arms from Lyon, waited for the perfect moment, his hand eloped with mine. Just gently. His hot breath swept past my ear, and his hoarse voice spoke slower than usual, he slurred on his words, "Let's get the fuck outta here."

I'd barely been there thirty seconds and by that suggestion, agreeing to come with Lyon was a massive mistake. It'd only escalate from there.

He disappeared not long after that lewd proposal. None of us noticed for a solid twenty minutes since he so easily slipped out. By then, Cana had passed out on the couch, and Natsu was clinging onto the side of Lucy, easily irritating her, and asking for his mother. The heat between Natsu and Lucy still hadn't cleared, Lucy would still get up and leave whenever Natsu entered the room. I hadn't gotten enough context of what exactly happened between them, and when I bring it up Lucy will lose her shit. To be fair, it is none of my business.

Once Cana turned her head a millimetre to her side, she finally spotted that Gray's place on the couch was vacant. I had the bright idea that he'd be outside the apartment, most likely in his car, so I too made a silent escape. Lyon was quite quickly consumed in himself as he slicked back his hair, admired his face and honestly I had seen a different side of him that night. No longer the gentleman that was so kind to me at the coffeehouse, now the vain and most likely narcissistic man more interested in his reflection than the date he took out.

I head down the hall, vex in my steps because of that asshole Fullbuster. He hadn't actually purposely done anything to me in a while, I was just in the mood to pick a fight I guess...

I waited about a minute for the elevator. When it opened, I sensed my heart rate drop, suddenly speeding up again as I witnessed Gray on the floor. Sat against the wall, his hands rested on top of his knees and he greeted me with a pathetic excuse of a smile. "Hey, Hyacinth." He hadn't called me that since the night of our first kiss.
