Reader POV

Nozel narrowed his eyes at Julius as he was leaving the room.

"Well, you heard him. I've got files to work on before I bring you to House Silva. Do as you please but stay within the headquarters." He turned around and sat down at his desk, picking up a quill pen.

I narrowed my eyes at the silver-haired man. His apology was shit.

It was obvious he didn't mean it.

"Fine," I spat. I stormed out of his office and slammed the door behind me.

"Just who does he think he is?" I seethed.

I wasn't looking where I was going and bumped into Nebra.

"Oh, I'm sorry," I looked up and saw Nebra regarding me with a frown.

She motioned to my grimoire. "You have powerful magic, I'll admit that. No one could stand against my brother like that with the exception of the Wizard King and some others."

"Lady Nebra-"

"So now you decide to regard my status?"

I ignored her. "Why is Wizard King Julius Novochrono 13?"

The silver-haired female shrugged. "I have no idea. There's something...odd about you, (y/n) (l/n). It's rare a peasant such as yourself, with the exception of Yuno and Asta, would have such powerful magic." She looked down at her feet, eyes narrowed and a blush adorning her face.

"I'm sorry for being so rude earlier."

I looked at her with shock. "Pardon?"

She turned her head sideways. "I won't repeat it. I'm sorry"

I could tell that she, unlike her brother, actually meant it. "Apology accepted."

She sighed in relief. "I normally never apologize, especially not to some peasant, but I think you are different."

"How so?"

"For one, Nozel never lets anyone sit on those couches in his office unless they are important to him. Second, he doesn't waste his time with random spars. He only fights opponents worthy."

I understood what she was saying. "Maybe its because he was charged with taking care of me?"

"Wait, what do you mean he was 'charged' with taking care of you?"

I gulped. "Uh-"

"Oi! You with the ice magic!" A man with white-and-brown-mixed hair ran up to us.

"Curtis Warren," Nebra acknowledged her fellow teammate.

"For some reason, I thought his name would be Bokuto..."

Curtis smiled at me. "I was wondering. You have a four-leaf grimoire with a snowflake intermingled, right?"

I nodded.

"Could it be that you are as powerful as that kid in the Golden Dawn named Yuno?"

Nebra shook her head. "I think she's more powerful. Anyways, (y/n)? If you want, you don't have to sleep in the servant's quarters. I've taken a liking to you. You will share my room."

I sweatdropped.

One minute she was rude as Hell, the next she's nice?

"If Nozel allows," I sheepishly said.

...

"Welcome to House Silva," Nebra said to me as I stood behind her in Nozel's silver chariot.

The 'house' was actually a huge castle.

"This is where you live!?"

It was a huge property with surrounding areas as training grounds.

Nozel brought the chariot to the entrance.

"(y/n), a maid will show you to where you are sleeping-"

"NO!" Nebra grabbed my wrist. "She's staying with me tonight,"

Nozel looked at his sister in shock. "Nebra? Are you feeling alright?"

He knew as well as anyone that she didn't like 'scum'.

Nebra glared at her brother. "Of course I'm feeling okay, Brother! Tell Solid that if he needs me, I'm just in my room."

She guided you through the many twists and turns of the castle.

"Your home is beautiful," I looked at the many objects. Not one thing was cheap. As we got to the upper floors, I saw something in the dim candlelight.

"Lady Nebra, who is that?" I asked.

It was a painting with black curtains on either side. It was a huge painting of a woman. She had a small area of bangs, a warm smile, and the features of her daughter.

Nebra hesitated. "That is my mother. Lady Acier Silva."

For some reason, that name rang a bell.

"Has she ever gone to the Spade Kingdom? Just out of curiosity,"

Nebra shrugged. "I think. You'll have to ask Nozel about it if you want to know more."

She leads us down the hallway to a huge set of doors which she opened.

"Wow! This is your room!?" I stared in awe at everything. "This is about the size of my house!"

Nebra laughed slightly. "Yes, it is. Tell me, where did you grow up?"

As I was instructed to, I told her I was from the region where Nozel found me.

"How did your family die?" Nebra asked quietly after a moment. She patted the space on her bed for me to sit. "Just out of curiosity. You do not have to tell me if you do not wish."

I sheepishly smiled. "I'm fine with telling you,"

Or at least some parts.

"They were all attacked. Every last one of them." I clenched my fists and looked down. "I tried to extend mana skin and protect everyone. It worked, until..."

Nebra, who was never one to show affection, much less to a 'commoner scum', wrapped an arm around me. "Aw, don't cry. I'm sure you did your best."

The moment was ruined when another male who looked like his siblings came into the room with bandages on him.

"Nee-chan!"

"Solid," Nebra got up and helped her obviously younger brother into a chair. "I told you to rest, you idiot!"

Solid stared at me scornfully. "Is that the person Onii-chan is taking care of?"

"Yes," I said, sighing internally.

Would this be round three of a Silva sibling being absolutely rude?
