Reader POV

Nebra and I ended up sharing a bed.

There was enough room for us not to touch.

I wasn't exactly comfortable sharing a bed with her, but she seemed fine.

When I turned my head, I saw she was fast asleep.

I slowly got out of bed and walked to the doors that lead out to the balcony.

Snow fell down on the kingdom below.

I closed the door behind me and stood in the cold winds.

As aforementioned, I never really got cold since I had ice magic.

But tonight, it was different.

It would freak my father out when he would see his wife and daughter playing in the snow with summer clothing on.

Now, I would feel the cold slightly. Just not as much as the average person.

I closed my eyes and started singing.

I didn't know this, but the wind carried the sound to another balcony where a certain captain was standing outside in the swirling wind.

The moon was full and I could see some stars, just not as many.

My lip trembled and my tears became ice and dropped onto the balcony's marble railing and shattered.

"Mom...Dad...Ashio...Alex...Anthony...I promise you, I will get strong enough to end those people and avenge you."

.

I walked down after changing.

Nebra insisted that I borrow her clothing since she didn't want me to wear the same thing each day.

"We'll go out and buy you clothes today," she had said. "But for now, just wear this."

So here I was, wearing a light blue dress and Nebra just so happened to have golden sandals my size that she never wore.

"You look nice," Solid said to me as he waited for Nebra and I outside the dining room.

"Where is Nozel?" Nebra asked with a smirk. "I'm sure he would love to see her,"

I cringed, remembering last night's conversation regarding her older brother and I.

"Lady Nebra-"

"For the last time! Call me Nebra!"

"Nebra-"

Nozel walked into view with a frown.

His hair looked slightly messier.

"Did you just get up?" Solid snorted. "Your hair looks like-"

Nozel glared at his brother with tired eyes. "Finish that sentence, Solid. And we'll see who really looks like shit."

"He's on his man period," Nebra snickered in my ear.

I burst out laughing.

"Man period?!"

Nozel and Solid looked at us in confusion.

"What's a period?" Solid asked.

Nozel looked away with a blush. "Really, Solid? After living with your two sisters for all 19 years of your life?"

He didn't get it.

"You idiot!" Nebra hit him with her mist magic. "Let's eat, I'm hungry!"

"Hi, Hungry-"

Nebra glared at Solid and he shut up.

During breakfast, we said grace again.

"So, Nozel," Nebra wiped her mouth. "I was thinking about taking (y/n) to the Royal shopping district. Care to join us?"

He sighed. "As much as I'd love not to, I've been charged with watching her. So I suppose I should come."

"He just wants to see some skin," Solid said.

He let out a shriek when Nozel was about to hit him with mercury magic.

"He's not wrong," Nebra snorted. "Anyway, we'll leave after breakfast, I suppose."

All through the day, Nebra kept making me change clothes to purchase.

"I can't let you buy this for me!" I had protested.

Nebra waved it off. "Who cares. I'm bored and if I'm going to be living with a peasant- no offense, then you'd better look presentable."

Solid was stuck carrying the bags of clothes.

"Is this much clothes really necessary?" He grumbled.

Nozel sighed. "Nebra, I implore you to stop flaunting our wealth to her. She knows very well that we are rich."

Nebra ignored her brothers and pushed you into a dressing room after giving you something to try on.

I came out a few moments later with shoes that she handed to me.

Nebra clapped joyfully. "She's lovely,"

Both siblings looked towards their eldest brother who hid his face.

"She doesn't look bad."

"Perfect!" Nebra pushed me back. "Now change out of that! We'll purchase it and the accessories!"

Nozel removed his hand to reveal a blushing face.

"What was the point of buying that dress?" Solid asked.

Nozel nearly choked. "Nebra, you aren't thinking-"

"Shut up, brother. Your birthday is two weeks away. She'll be there and she'll be wearing that dress. So that's that. Besides, you need to keep an eye on her at all times, right?~"

Nozel glared at his sister. "Since when are you like this?"

"Since you began to show her some kindness in your own terms!" Nebra snorted. "Don't lie, Nozel. If she was anyone else, you'd push her into someone else to watch over her. What's so different about this girl?"

"No...does he like her?" Solid and Nebra shared a shocked glance and slowly looked at their brother.

"I'll be doing something. At two, we'll meet for a high tea at the place." Nozel waved behind him.

"Don't you have to watch her-"

"I'll know if she uses that ice magic," Nozel said as the shop's door closed behind him.

The three of us didn't know, but he was actually going to get something important made.
