Fireworks and Butterflies

It's been a few hours and I found myself looking out the little window from the airplane, with the love of my life sitting by my side, watching a movie after we spent about two hours talking to each other.

I had a great time this afternoon, and at the airport, I cried a lot when the ones I love were there to say goodbye. My mom, my dad, Leo, Lydia and Kira, together with their parents, were all there to wish me a good new start and a good flight. We had to restrain a little our words because of my brother, but we were all on the same page.

"Baby, what's wrong?" Colby asked realizing I wasn't paying any attention to the movie on rolling in front of me.
"Nothing much, just thinking about everything. After all, I didn't get the time yet to freak out." I joked still laying my head on his shoulder "I'm just gonna miss them, but I think I'm gonna love it there, if I'm with you."

He smiled and hugged my side pulling me closer to his side.
It was midnight when we finally landed in LAX. Sam and Kat were there to get us, and as soon as I saw Kat, I ran to her.

"Oh my God! You're finally here!" Kat sighed and I chuckled "I can show you everything around here now! All the bars, all the night clubs. You're gonna be so much fun!"
"Oh my God yes! I can't wait!"
"hey hey hey, firstly she is too young to go to bars and night clubs! She cannot go to these places where guys will stare at her. And secondly, we barely arrived and you're already trying to steal her away from me! Not cool Kat." Colby complained. We laughed and got on the car.

We had been driving and talking nonstop for about a hour when we got to what one could see as some sort of mini village surrounded by trees with a passage to a beach. There were really cute houses in both sides of the road, and separated from the rest, there was a beautiful two-story red house. The car came to a stop in front of it and we got out.

It was a little past 1am, and I was too tired to snoop around the house.

"Welcome home baby" Colby said hugging me from behind and opened the door "Tomorrow I'll give you a tour, now let's go to sleep"
"Wait, this isn't the trap house" I said confused.
"No, we have that house but we don't live there. This is where I live, its the alphas' house where every one from the pack knows where it is and can always come here for help."

I nodded, said good night to Sam and Kat, and Colby guided me up the stairs and into a room at the and of the hall. It was a big room, it had grey walls and a huge king sized bed in the middle with a nightstand on each side of it, there was even a tv on the room. There were three doors in it, technically four, one that led to an amazing bathroom, one to a huge closet, and a pair of double doors that led to a balcony with a view to the ocean. I could only describe it as the dream bedroom.

It is BEAUTIFUL! And look at that bed, will be perfect for our mating night! Tina said.
Hold your horses Tina, according to dad, we have to wait a few more months.
He was serious?! Ugh such a cockblock. She rolled her eyes.

I chuckled and looked behind me to see a nervous Colby.

"Do you like it?" He asked.
"Are you kidding?" I said turning around to look at him "I love it! And so does Tina." He smiled and put his arms around me.
"Great! Now go get ready for bed. It's already really late and you didn't sleep during the flight." He kissed my forehead and let me go.

I left him there to go change on the bathroom after finding my pajamas on the closet.
The bathroom was literally taken out of a movie! It had a toilet obviously, two sinks, a huge shower with glass doors and a bathtub that could pass as a hot tub. I changed, brushed my teeth then got out. Colby was nowhere to be seen, so I got out on the balcony for a little bit.

It was a full moon tonight and its light was reflecting on the water and the stars were shining so bright up there. It was such a beautiful night, completely perfect. To make it even more so, I soon felt arms around my waist and a head settling on my shoulder. I brought my hand up and started to caress his hair.

"I thought I told you to go to bed." He whispered softly in my ear. I turned on his arms and looked up to him.
"You did, but how would I sleep without the best pillow on the world?" I asked rhetorically and wrapped my hands around his neck as he brought on of his hands to cup my face.
"You can't imagine how happy I feel having you here." His eyes trailed my face, stopping a little longer on my lips, before going back to my eyes.
"Be assured that I'm just as happy" I let my own eyes travel down to his lips as the distances between us started to fade.

I closed my eyes as I felt his breath on my lips. The distance between our lips disappeared and, for the first time, I felt his plump lips on mine.

All that bullshit that I read of fireworks and butterflies weren't bullshit anymore. A rush of tingles run through my skin and I felt like I could do anything. His lips started to move, ever so gently, against mine as if one wrong move would break me. I complied moving on the same rhythm. His tongue touched my bottom lip for permission, and even if I didn't want to, which wasn't the case at all, I could never deny him. Our tongues fought for dominance, but he ended up winning, and I couldn't complain.

After what felt like not long enough, he pulled us apart. Our breathing erratic to match our heart beats.

"We better stop now." Colby said not taking his hands off my face "We barely arrived, and I'm already having to control myself not to break your dad's rules." I laughed.
"Alright, let's sleep" We then went inside, closing the doors to the balcony, and then went to sleep, with him adjusting himself to hug me.

COLBYS' POV

We kissed.

We finally kissed last night, and it felt even better then I imagined. Her lips are amazing. She is amazing. I feel like flying.
I'm laying on my bed, with the love of my life cuddling me. Life is just perfect right now.

I feel Athena's presence more dominant now. The kiss must have made the bond stronger. She will shift soon. I can feel it. Peter said.
I can only wish. It will be so much easier if she shifts before the ceremony. But of course it won't be a problem if she doesn't, it won't change anything.

As I was passing my hand through her hair, I felt April stiffen a bit before relaxing and opening her eyes looking at me with those beautiful green orbs. A little smile made its ways to her lips as she hugged me a bit tighter.

"Good morning" I smiled at her sleepy voice.
"Good morning baby girl, how are you feeling?" I asked.
"A bit weird, but great nonetheless"
"Weird how? Do you feel sick?" My worry picked up.
"No just... I don't know how to explain. I kind of feel like I have a little purse of energy inside of me and it has been increasing for the last week, but today is in its limits" She kind of explained.

You think she could shift today? Peter asked.

"Maybe your shift is closer than we thought" She smiled at me, I was leaning in for our second kiss, but someone had to break my bubble.
