The Legend

What the hell?!

"What legend? What werewolf thing that I don't understand are you guys talking about this time?" I asked jokingly. Kat chuckled and answered me.
"There is a legend every werewolf has heard about at least once in their lives."
"Well, this one hasn't, so story time" I said giggling a bit.

I took their hands on mine, pushing them out the door after saying that I would put some clothes on and meet them on the living room downstairs, which is the only other room I know in this house. After putting on leggins and Colby's hoodie that I stole, I went downstairs, and sat on a love sack with Colby while Sam and Kat were on the couch.

"Now that I'm not naked, you may start" I said making a curtesy having them laugh.

"Alright, get confie cause this might take a while." Kat started

"Hundreds of years ago, a war started between too packs. The packs were fighting because the Luna of the first pack, wasn't the Alpha's mate, and her true mate was the alpha from the other pack. The two mates met in an event, much like the mate ball, and so the alpha wanted to take her with him to his pack. Now keep in mind that at that time, men were 'all that' and 'stronger' and basically could do anything they wanted, especially take what they 'owned'.

But the first alpha wouldn't let the woman he loved and his luna just go like that, and she was on the same line of thought as she also didn't want to leave him. But of course her mate wouldn't accept that.

At the time, the luna was also pregnant with a baby boy, so hunting for revenge, her mate got her somehow to drink a potion and its result was the lost of her baby. The father then started the war, letting his mourning for his lost son get to him.

Legend says that in the middle of the battle filed, the moon Goddess presented herself, like appeared there, and not only she demanded the end of the war, she also cleared a vision.

'The soul of the innocent unborn will return, he will be black as the night, strong as a God, and his fated one will be his killers descendent, with fur as white as the moon, as fearless as a lion, and as delicate as a flower. Together they will rule beautifully, but their future is to be troubled. A past as dark as this one is to haunt them for long. A new war will be in their hands, sides will have to be chosen, the future of all werewolves will lie in their hands'

Then all went back to what wold be 'normal' back then. The luna and her husband never had any other other kids, so their line of decedents ended, but the other alpha chose another she-wolf and had pups with her, so his blood line is still alive." Kat ended.

"And you think that this decendent is me?" I asked.
"I mean, think about it. Never since the beggining of the legend has ther been an alpha with pure black fur with a mate with pure white fur. You even have alpha blood running through your veins since you used the alpha tone back at the Whispering Threes pack house. You and Colby are quite the fit for this description." Sam poited out.
"It might look alike, but this whole legend thing is just a story to put pups to sleep." Colby said, not beliving it to be possible.
"It is real Colby, even you can't deny the signs." Kat insisted.
"Alright, even if this legend is real, I don't fit those descriptions at all." I said "I'm not fearless, much less delicate as a flower. Clowns for example give me the creeps and I'm terrified of spiders, not the big hand sized ones, but tiny ones that one second are there and the other it disappeared. I fall on my face just by walking on the streets and I don't know how to be delicate at all."
"And technically it would mean that my soul and my wolf are like thousands of years old." Colby added.
"Eww grandpa" I joked.
"Well, believe what you want, but I'm gonna start preparing for a war." Kat said.

Colbys' POV

Throughout Kat's story, I couldn't take my eyes off of April.

Athena is so beautiful. She is amazing! Do you think our pups will look like her? Oh how I wish for them to. They- Peter stopped as I cut him off.
Hold on casanova, is too early to think about pups! Let's enjoy our mate to ourselves for a little while before we have to share.

"...You and Colby are quite the fit for this description." I heard Sam say and tuned back
"It might look alike, but this whole legend thing is just a story to put pups to sleep."

And I truly believe it is. I believe that I can make my own destiny. The moon Goddess might help by showing me my mate, but what I do after is purely on my own, and not because of a legend or prophecy.

"It is real Colby, even you can't deny the signs." Kat still said.
"Alright, even if this legend is real, I don't fit those descriptions at all. I'm not fearless, much less delicate as a flower. You're not that old, right Peter?
I cannot be sure, but I don't think so. I don't have any memories from before you turned at 14, it is all black, so who knows if it was thousands of years or a few seconds.

"Eww grandpa" I chuckled at my mate. She is just so cute. I'm not sure she realized that I brought her a little closer, since she didn't react.
"Well, believe what you want, but I'm gonna start preparing for a war." Kat said.
"Ok, since now the matter is discussed we can either go back to sleep or we can go for a run" April said.

RUN! RUN! RUN! I want to see Athena as myself, not with your ugly face.
Wow Pet, thanks! And relax, we will, but first is better for April to rest, a first shift takes a lot of someone.
Ugh, okay, but as soon as she is up, we'll go for a run.

"Peter and I agreed that is better for you to rest right now, but as soon as we wake up, we can go for a run."
"Great, Athena is really exited to see him." April affirmed.
"Me and Kat have some paper work to take care of, so we will be going, but we'll see you two later on."
"We do?" Kat looked at him and he hit her arm lightely "Oh yeah, we do. I'll come by later tonight to talk ok A?"
"Deal! I'll cook for us. Bye guys" April hugged them goodbye and they left.

-No problem. I know she needs to rest and you want your alone time with her.-

I turned back to April and she was looking at me.

"When will I be able to use the mind link?"
"Once I mark you on the luna Ceremony" I walked towards her and wrapped my arms around her waist. Her arms automatically locked around my neck.
"Now you don't have to cancel the after run" She smiled looking relived. I smiled and nodded then took her to our bedroom to sleep a little bit more.
